Loads of clubs want Phillips but none of them have any money , they want to pay a derisory loan fee and probably only cover part of his wages , why should we give a way a £50m asset for next to nothing. We know he wants to play football for the sake of his international career but we dont owe him anything , he has been well paid and overall has disappointed on the pitch.
If a club wants to sign him then let them dig deep and pay the money otherwise he can stay on the bench and cotribute when required
PL rules state that a player can’t play against his parent club. Kabore and McAtee were both ineligible for our fixtures with their clubs. If we can’t get decent money for him then a loan to a club like West Ham makes sense.
For me, rather than asking for a loan fee wouldn’t it be better to stipulate that he cannot play against us and also insert a recall clause just in case we get hit with a lot of injuries. I remember years ago when Hart was on loan at Birmingham and we couldn’t recall him when we needed to.
Yep, on the OS - good to see Eddy but no pics of Haaland , Stones or Akanji yetHas he gone to AD today with the rest of the squad do we know?
Why would we stop him playing against us ?If we can’t get decent money for him then a loan to a club like West Ham makes sense.
