Manchin's no normie, but he's a lot more of one than the MAGA **** patrol, and a lot more politically-savvy. He's seen the writing on the wall -- why else commit now given he has his boots firmly in both camps? Because he knows not doing so risks being pulled into the drain the GOP is circling down, faster and faster, as water will do.

He's sided with the good old-fashioned normal people -- politicians to be sure, with clear platform differences from him -- but not the freak idiot weirdos the GOP is offering as their slate.

Meantime the underwear skid marks here keep doubling down on the same tired narratives, backing those same freak idiot weirdos who an increasing number of actual conservatives (and moderates, and independents) are walking away from.
