Nowhere sums you lot up.

On the fringes permanently, howling at the moon.

Just like your predecessors you will watch the rightward ideologues and their grifters have a stranglehold on western institutions and go to sleep wondering why and how…us fringe leftists will just shrug since it was all predictable.

Whilst the first and best opportunity to get rid of the right and the grifters for a generation will see you trying to bury a hatchet into the back of the only guy capable of doing so.

For what? Revenge, that’s it, nothing else.

What institution are you referring to?

What I find frustrating which is based from an American political perspective is that when the center or even center left put in vanilla candidates to not offend anyone’s sensibilities it typically leads to future right wing governments. I agree that a lot of governing is making sure things run well and smooth. But to truly stay in power to make transformational changes means more than running the government like a middle manager of company. No one is truly motivated to vote just for some guy to watch the steering wheel. This is probably a naive take to some but I feel like I see this on repeat.

Like it or not, business and banks run the world and politicians get into power off the back of their good graces and nods of approval.

There is only so much any party and leader will ever be able to do to level up society as they love to call it.

The system dictates you go to work for just enough money to survive on and make you feel like you are doing ok whilst ploughing it straight back into the pockets of the few.

Labour/Tories/Lib Dems/SNP, it’s all the same, fuck all of note changes, ever but I will guarantee, the politics you espouse too whilst often noble sounding and idealistic, they are never getting anywhere near power anytime soon, if ever.

Why? The system will never allow it so let’s just make do with getting rid of the real right and grifters and give the other lot a go shall we?

Centrist always get snarky when they find out being hated by everyone and loved by no one leads them nowhere.
It‘s not a personal choice to be centrist, it’s just where life leads you and that’s where I’ve been since a young age, political wise. I do like it though, there’s so many clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with you :-)

Fairness, that’s all I want.

Okay, I get that. But I don’t believe you can’t have at least a left or center left PM/President not pass on populist socialist policies just for the sake of power? He/she doesn’t have to seize the means of production but they can easily push for certain areas like labor protections, debt relief, minimum wage rises, free school lunches etc. These can be done. I’ve seen them done by Democrat American Governors.

I think as the electorate we have to take some responsibility and hold our leaders to account. I don’t care if a politician doesn’t believe in shit in his heart of hearts. But, if they do pass what people want they will be rewarded with power and if they don’t we as an electorate have a duty to hold some to account.

Okay, some will be bought and paid for. I saw one do it in the Senate to save a key tax loophole for hedge fund managers but now she is going to be kicked out by her state electorate in the upcoming elections.

All I’m saying at the very least we as the electorate can try and then do what we can to sift the compromised pieces of trash.
