The propaganda merchants have pushed this country into a American system, two right wing parties. We now have a complete shit show like the yanks.Genuine answer, I want a government that is left wing built on Democratic Socialist values such as equality, fairness and social justice.
Starmer's unwillingness to call for a ceasefire puts him at odds with people like me and if he thinks the strategy is correct then he really needs to look at what is happening. Support for him in certain sections of society is plummeting and if is as Andrew Marr has pointed out.
Politics in this country is in a horrible state, we have the worst government in living memory but the alternatives only reason to vote for it is it not the worst government in living memory.

The majority of people tend to fall into the centre ground of politics, mainly because they don’t have the time or the inclination to get involved or delve deeper into politics, but the centre ground works for the majority of people, it’s functioning government funded services, nothing to extreme, I dream of those days

Given your definition of the centre ground and thinking about the current posturing of the labour leadership/shadow cabinet I think at best we have a centrist party and a right wing populist party in this country now.
I'll reserve judgement as actions speak louder than words, but tbh I would be surprised if Labour in office transpired to be more centre left than centre right. The Conservatives are going to leave a multi-generational mess for the new government to have to sort out. On the assumption that Labour are not up for radical policies, this means their ambition is probably limited to trying over time to drag us back to the centre you describe.

You don't have to be left wing to dislike Starmer or the way the Labour Party is going. The status quo GDP types seem to have a hard on for him but i think saying everyone is pretty much a commie Marxist on here who doesn't like him is rather simplistic.

The heads of the current Labour Party are not left of centre imho. The membership is but they have been roundly ignored unless Starmer is a liar. Some of his supporters seem to think he is lying and actually see it as a positive. Odd times.

Had a post removed that only said they should form a proper left wing party and take it to the country if they feel so strongly about their beliefs because it’s pretty clear the Labour Party is never going to be what they want it to be.
