Keir Starmer

That's just it though. I don't think there will be much divergence, just a rewind to a less extreme time more akin to the Osborne/Cameron austerity govt than new labour or anything approaching left wing.

Progress has to be measured from where we are now, not past high watermarks.

If we're heading into bad economic times then what Labour can do will be restricted, but it's also when they make the biggest difference compared to Osbourne and co gleefully slashing at any and all public spending they can.

One of the most common complaints about Starmer is that he's not giving people something to get excited about voting for, and he needs to come up with something to get people excited or there'll be terrible turnout which helps the Conservatives. The data suggests that simply kicking out the Tories is more than enough motivation.

73% said they were 7,8,9 or 10/10 voting in the election vs just 16% saying they were 0,1,2 or 3/10 going to vote.
It’s still too early for Labour to set their policies in stone. The Tories keep nicking all their ideas as they think it will give them the popular vote, fuck, we seem to be even getting Sure Start back.

For those who have been watching, Labour have some very good policies and until the GE is called, we won’t see a lot laid down in writing. After it’s called, they’ll hammer every policy home.

Pretty much. There’s that and they’re that far ahead they can do expectations management. Given what they’re going to inherit, I’m not sure there is an alternative reality they’d be wanting to push too much if they didn’t have to.

TelavivKieth in my opinion has to stop anybody in the Labour movement taking money from Israel. Labour Friends of Israel should be disbanded as should Labour friends of Palestine.

He should also remove the fat **** Akehurst from the NEC.

Historically Labour supported Israeli socialists which is fine, but they should never support a far right government like Netanyahu's

TelavivKeith grow some balls and condemn Israel for what is nothing short of mass murder and then i might take you seriously.
