Keir Starmer

Raising tax threshold where people start paying taxes. Furlough. Support of Ukraine. Vaccines program. Global tax regime work. I’ll even add gay marriages - the last thing you’d think a Tory government would bring in. Probably the big ones they did well off the top of my head.

So, we have one Lib Dem policy that they insisted on as part of the coalition. The Tories froze many thresholds a few years ago, and have said they'll be frozen for most of the next Parliament.
Furlough - a policy that pretty much every other western country also had.
In terms of a % of GDP, last I saw the UK wasn't even in the top ten in Europe for support to Ukraine.
Vaccines - even with some of the world's biggest health research companies based in the UK, the vaccine programme only partially made up for the increased death rate we had in the UK.
I'd argue mostly words Global Tax, certainly not leaders in terms of taking action, and incredibly lax when it comes to the many tax havens that are linked to the UK.
Gay marriage - It was a Cameron policy, but the Tories actually mostly voted against it or abstained. It only passed because almost all Labour MPs voted for it. Only 127 Tory MPs voted for it.

Apart from that though, they've been stellar ;)

Corbyn drew huge crowds and even attended Glastonbury festival.

Johnson definitely had people excited even if it was all superficial and he was just a highly successful conman.

Starmer is as bland as Major, as dishonest as Johnson and going to get as many seats as Blair. Is that a good combination?
‘As dishonest as Johnson’? I’m pretty sure you posted that just to fit in with you prose. If not then you’re mistaken. I’m not excited about Starmer but I’m pretty sure he’s the right type for the country right now.

He's voting for the guy who didn't speak up for dead kids, who brought Akehurst into the party and is now trying to stop foreigners coming.

All the things he would claim to be horrified about until recently.

From December: "The levels of death and destruction over the past weeks has been intolerable. Far too many innocent Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed as part of military operations. There must be full accountability for all actions."

Stopping foreigners? He said they'll reduce net migration. Given that it's been the highest level recorded in modern times, by some distance, and that increase is mostly students making up for not being able to come and study during Covid, it's a no brainer that it will go down. Is that really something we should be horrified about?

Luke Akehurst. You can have that one.

Almost a good analogy, fails like many before who still struggle for some reason(they don't really they are just dishonest and after years of moralising quite pathetic) to grasp the reality of their situation. So here is the reality .

I agree the Tories are the Dog Turd

I will accept Labour May be a low quality beefburger.

That's where your logic ends. You have no choice, you are getting the beefburger. The dog turd is floating away and won't be on the menu for years.

Where you are wrong is that you may and others on here have stated will actively go out and buy the crap burger.

It's gonna be delivered to you with no effort on your part. You could go out and put your name down for Lobster and you never know one day it could be on the menu or just accept it won't and stay in and open a beer and wait for the burger to arrive.

Unfortunately fucking idiots keep asking for shite burgers, a few even pick the dog turd.

Spot on. Labour lack a mission, just trying to not be as shit is not a mission.

Last time it was Lib Dem, largely because they stood the best chance of ousting our resident Tory. Probably the same this time round. The main issue I will be considering is ‘who is best placed to fuck the Tory?’. If it was Count Binface, I’d vote for him.

Pretty straightforward tbh.

So you’re driven by hatred. Straightforward but unhealthy.

I’m not here to argue the ins and outs. I was asked what I thought in the last 14 years (that includes the coalition), I replied.

I understand, but in 14 years there isn't really a single Tory policy that genuinely stands out.

I don't even have to make political points, or argue the ins and outs of what they did - they just didn't really do anything.
