Swift had just cancelled dates in Austria due to a terrorist plot. She was considering cancelling the London dates too, and apparently asked for extra security.

Given the fuss about the tour in the first place, the fact that we've had a terrorist attack linked to a concert already, I can imagine the same newspapers blaming Labour if they Met had refused and the dates were cancelled.

i heard this morning that her mum said she would cancel the concert if she didnt get proper security . She probably had the experience of Areina Grande in mind

what you have to understand is that 14 years of hard worked client journalism getting an "in" with Tories just went up in a puff of smoke overnight on the 5th July ......... many are scrabbling to remain relevant as they find their ocean is now a fish tank. Many will die meanwhile if one of them thinks they have something of a scoop they all pile on in hope they are still at it in 4 years time. There will be many casualties along the way.
