It was the likes of him who forced the contrarian position on the EU,when we should always have been the party of Leave. Benn and his ilk put siding with the capitalists before siding with our people.
He is as much to blame for Johnson as anyone.
It blames Thornberry, Starmer and others, including Abbott, for forcing the naturally Eurosceptic Corbyn into a more pro-Remain stance. Had he been a real leader he'd have stuck with his instincts from the start of this instead of contorting himself into the incomprehensible and indefensible position he ended up in, and yesterday's disaster might have been avoided.
