He's taken the Labour Party back into opposition for at least 5 years.
Add another 5 on that it’s a long way back.

Corbyn has taken the Labour party back to its democratic socialist roots
That's fine with me!And that is where we must stay, all these years of Corbyn will have been worth it if we continue along the path to Socialism. Brexit will help that cause, we will be free of EU capitalist diktat
This is blatently wrong. The best PM of the 20th century was no Blairite, the party he led created the NHS, built millions of homes, layed the economic foundations for prosperity and all after nearly a decade of World Wars and uprisings against imperilaism
That doesn’t make any logical sense, mate. The Tories have done absolutely fuck all for the industrial north and they’ve been in power for 10 years yet just won a landslide.Never said corbyn wasn't a problem.
But labour didn't restore industry and prosperity to the places that have abandonded them , as they focused on the financial services mainly out of London.
These places labour loyalty has been slowly eroded for a long time, brexit and the leadership finally put them across a line they were pushed towards for a long time.
It’s not a con mate, I think it might be a con whoever is telling you it’s centre left. I heard John McDonnell say the same thing and I burst out laughing. That's the con, the media made out Labour were Marxist, they were nothing of the sort. They campaigned on a reasonable centre left Democratic Socialist platform. Many on here were bewildered when I said I considered the Labour party to be too right wing.
“Our people”?? I’m starting to think you’re either trolling the thread or just completely misinformed.I would resign my membership in disgust if he got elected. It was the likes of him who forced the contrarian position on the EU,when we should always have been the party of Leave. Benn and his ilk put siding with the capitalists before siding with our people.
He is as much to blame for Johnson as anyone.
They could always give it to Giggsy till the end of the season.
Interesting piece in The Guardian about the background to the party's eventual position. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/13/inside-labours-campaign-behindI would resign my membership in disgust if he got elected. Renationalising the railways, water, electricity, BT and providing free broadband for all and setting up a national investment bank, increasing corporation tax for all business turning over more than £300k (which would include most corner shops in this country), moving to a 4 day working week, giving private tenants the right to buy the property they rent, they’re not centre left policies, mate. They’re Maxist policies.
If you don’t think they’re left wing enough, I can only assume you haven’t seen what’s been happening in Venezuela?
Starmer would be my choice, but can’t see it happening.
The Guardian have been a disgrace the last few years. Typical of the middle class remainer cult. I don't read it, I stopped buying the Observer as well as that was just as bad.Interesting piece in The Guardian about the background to the party's eventual position. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/13/inside-labours-campaign-behind
It blames Thornberry, Starmer and others, including Abbott, for forcing the naturally Eurosceptic Corbyn into a more pro-Remain stance. Had he been a real leader he'd have stuck with his instincts from the start of this instead of contorting himself into the incomprehensible and indefensible position he ended up in, yesterday's disaster might have been avoided.

More Labour voters voted remain than leave. The opposite is true of the Tories.
lolVenezuela....the propaganda worked very well didn't it. You have just proved it.
We have just elected the most right wing PM in our nations history, but you are banging on about Venezuela and Marxism. Democratic Socialism is not Marxism, public ownership of utilities is not Marxist, Marxism is control of all the means of production by the workers.
And why on earth anybody would be against the introduction of a 4 day week is just beyond me. Do people really actually want to work themselves to death and not take advantage of the upcoming technological advances that will make a lot of work currently not needed. Free Broadband is about equality of opportunity, if everyone has the same opportunity to progress then the whole country benefits, it is an effective investment. Our corporation taxes are amongst the lowest on the planet and will get lower as we hand gompanies even larger tax breaks and they use them to line the pockets of their shareholders. We need a national investment bank, its Keynesian in approach using the economic multiplier effect to create growth. Its basic common economic sense to do ot rather than rely on foreign investment to take up the slack.
Another one who shoots the messenger if it doesn't like the message or it doesn't slavishly toe the party line. The Guardian have been a disgrace the last few years. Typical of the middle class remainer cult. I don't read it, I stopped buying the Observer as well as that was just as bad.
If its a party of Blairite wannabees the answer is no I don't want them to win, I don't vote for neo liberals whatever the colour of the rosetteSo you don't want Labour to win the next election then?
I am telling the truth though.lol
and you claim propaganda!!
