Keir Starmer

So, 6 months after an election hiding, 3 months into a Covid pandemic and the biggest economic crisis the country has ever faced, 3 months in the job and 5 months away from a possible no deal Brexit and you think Starmer should have a manifesto? I appreciate that you don’t think the current government can do any wrong but that’s a bit far-fetched, even for you.
I don't know how many times I have to say it, I'm not asking him to deliver
a manifesto.
Ok, can you tell us something, anything, that would persuade new Conservative
voters to move back to Labour? All we have at the moment about the dear leader is that
he doesn't agree with the government, and that makes him a shrewd cookie,
far better than that Corbyn bloke.
When Blair became leader he gave everyone a clear picture of what he wanted for
the Labour party, that, combined with clever debating skill, personality, and force of
will, persuaded long standing conservatives to listen a but more. This resulted in a steady
surge in popularity for Blair as time went on, he published a manifesto, and got a landslide.
I certainly don't think the govt can do no wrong, but with who they're up
against at present, it doesn't matter if they can do nothing right.

At Last!
Now, I haven't seen that and am willing to withdraw my criticism, but nowhere have I
heard him saying this, but maybe that's just me. But, having read these bullet
points, I'm not surprised he doesn't exactly shout them from the rooftops,
that's right out of the Corbyn playbook, and a sure fire guarantee that Labour
will now never get in.
Ta for that, and again, I will say that I was wrong to state he'd never outlined any plans.
But having read them, I don't imagine the Tories are shaking in their boots, (if they've
read it!), because if that's now labour policy, they're gone for decades.

Why the fuck is Starmer still broadly supportive of this government.

It is so frustrating watching him being nice and the media going nuts over his app reply.

What about the total mismanagement of the crisis and the unreal amount of deaths in care homes. He should be nailing Johnsons hat on not being broadly supportive on the ****.

Because if he wasn't then it would be far easier for BoJo and his cohorts to point the finger at obstruction by the opposition for the reason behind the failures they are inflicting on this country.

No fingers need to be pointed as Starmer/Labour are in no position to obstruct,
unless they get dozens of Tory MP's onside, which did happen the other day, actually.
But on major issues, BoJo has the whip hand.

Exactly this. Starmer is playing the long game and doing it very cleverly. He’sa very clever man - which is more than can be said for the circus that is running, or rather trying to run this country. Talk about out of their depth in the most important time in our country in my life time. Shambolic

Well done Starmer no fucking about which is good to see.

Decisive. RLB put her head on the block with a dodgy tweet. Starmer didn't flinch. Puts him in stark contrast to Johnson who hangs on to everyone no matter what the crime and Corbyn who would was adept at doing the bare minimum on issues that he didn't fully agree with.
