The only benefit is that people at the same party might not know what others at the party have said. And that‘s the interesting part. It does look as though the old style left-wing Labour values are being moved away from. I suppose it could be down to the way the country has changed from the days of steel, pits, mills and all the old industry that we’d have for so long, instead moving into service and many moving to office based jobs where they feel safe in their contemporary environment.Of course, change is the only constant.
Thatcher moved the UK (well England) to the right and with establishment help (mostly media moguls) that's where the UK (England) has remained.And that‘s the interesting part. A huge group you’re ignoring are people from left leaning backgrounds and left leaning social stances, yet are ambitious in a pro-capitalist sense. They don’t want socialism, they want capitalism with a balance of social issues addressed fairly. This is the biggest group of people in the electorate and are the middle ground of politics and New Labour are the only real party to appeal to these people.Thanks for an honest reply.
