Having seen the current incumbents, piece of piss to sayEasy for you to say.
Hardly, going off the Times and a poll as a basis for Starmer popularity is just preaching to the masses that never wanted him in the first place - only been a couple months, any PM will be hated, stop getting all giddy.

Whoosh. Read your post.So you agree , Tories have no such candidate
Holly and Phil “Are you okay?” vibes.Which version?
I'm getting pissed up Judy Finnegan vibes.
From the New Statesman,
“ At party conference in Liverpool last week Labour activists were, at once, panicked and incredulous, all adamant that Starmer would have to step aside soon.
….
Rishi Sunak’s favourability fell 11 points only 70 days into the job. Boris Johnson, Theresa May, David Cameron and Gordon Brown had fairly stable net ratings over the same period. Starmer’s, meanwhile, have tumbled 18 points.
That’s not unsurprising at all to be fair. No point looking at ratings for a long while yet.
Any chance he improved our Brexit deal ?
You’re obviously seeing something I’m notWhoosh. Read your post.
That’s the bar now is it? That’s where we are as a nation? If the Tories appoint anyone half-competent, half-charismatic, Keith is toast.
A little depressing, knowing that people will actually vote for anybody half competent. That’s the bar now is it? That’s where we are as a nation?
I'd take it all with a large pinch of salt at present. The Tories and RW press were blaming Starmer and labour for ruining the country within a few days of them winning the election - as if we'd just spent over a decade living in some sort of utopia! Not surprising given the balls ups? Or not surprising considering it's a new PM? I agree if you mean the former. But normally new PMs have somewhat of a honeymoon period and such a precipitous fall from grace is very unusual - perhaps uniquely so. So in that respect it is pretty surprising!
I have to say I am somewhat conflicted about the whole thing. Clearly, I can't stand Starmer - that much is obvious. But on the other hand, what do I actually want? Just a successful government that delivers improved prosperity and public services for all of us, most especially me! Putting emotions aside then, it doesn't matter if it's a successful Tory government, or a successful Labour one. So willing Starmer to fail, falling flat on his arse, is not exactly likely to help. Especially when I consider the consequences of who would likely take over as Labour PM if he got kicked out.
Still, there's nowt I can do to affect the outcome one one way or another, so at least I can find some amusement in him cocking it up further day by day.
Indeed. The moment has passed now but I was just making a joke about your sentence which made no grammatical sense, "They won’t one of them either". I've no idea what that is supposed to mean. You’re obviously seeing something I’m not
been like that since the pig shaggerThat’s the bar now is it? That’s where we are as a nation?
I am hoping (but not expecting) Kemi Badenoch to win the Tory leadership vote. That’s the bar now is it? That’s where we are as a nation?
