Keir Starmer

Something about Starmer irks - but compared to Corbyn he comes across as a real statesman

I am another that Labour need to get back - and I expect them to confirm more wilderness years by selecting RLB

Yep, me too.

Problem for Labour is that many of their members don't want the likes of me & you (far right Nazi's in their eyes) to support them.

Big opportunity for Labour to win support and seats in Scotland (which they will need) by voting for Ian Murray as the deputy leader. Seen him on Newsnight last night and he came across really well. All of the other candidates seem to be atrocious so no doubt - in true Labour style, they'll pick the worst one.

Whilst ironically hating Jews themselves.

It’s a funny old world.

They seriously need to go back to 2017’s manifesto, which was costed properly and would have worked, elect someone who wasn’t a poster boy/girl for metropolitan coffee shop remainers and get a few conservative social policies back, the likes that Attlee, Bevan and Tony Benn supported, whilst dropping the ludicrous identity politics and opening the floodgates to further mass immigration.

And whilst they’re at it, not select a candidate with more skeletons than Prince Andrew.

I think you can say with some certainty that the next labour leader whoever it is out of that lot is not going to win a GE. That said, someone on here recommended Nandy , sorry I can't remember who. But from what I've heard and seen of her she seems the most normal and in touch out of the bunch.

The Sophie Ridge interview showed some willingness to understand the electorate and where Labour went wrong but she was still a bit “meh” for me.

Didn’t make me think - yes I’ll vote for them now - didn’t exactly come up with a real change in direction.

A couple of things in her favour is that she doesn’t seem a raving antisemite and I doubt she’ll be showing up on Iranian TV soon.
