Are you a party member , sound just like one. Members of all parties seem to believe the party is there for their own egos and ideology. Don’t give a toss about the country and the real world. Shame because a Labour party that the public wanted rather than a Labour party for it’s members could have saved a lot of damage done to the country over the last 8 years.
Tories members elect leaders that pander to their prejudices,Labour members do the same.
Let me help you out...

If it wasn't for the Labour Party, we'd probably have a Labour government.

You lot remind me of the German football fans who would rather Bayern Munich win the league every single year for eternity then allow private ownership.

Fucking losers in the literal sense who'd rather hold onto an imaginary ideal while the country burns than actually win an election.

This is true, while improving what was underfunded public services, there was no real regenration of areas and comunities ravaged by the grantham witch.
I'm not having that. Just on mining areas: "the Coalfields Programme under the remit of the HCA has been very successful. It has changed the topography and appearance of many coalfield areas and made them much more attractive for people to live and work in and for investment."

I was a rep on the Board of the North West Coalfield Communities Regeneration Programme, which allocated £30m over 7 years to community projects from Manchester to Workington. A lot of EU money in that, via the Regional Development Agency.

The RDAs of course were abolished by the coalition government, and money then funnelled through Local Economic Partnerships. But Austerity Two is already here: LEPs have been thanked "for the invaluable contribution that LEPs make to their local economies" and "the importance of a continuing strong and influential business voice in local economic policy making". Now Ministers say that they want LEPs to be fully integrated into Combined Authorities in areas that have them (eg Manchester, Liverpool, West Yorkshire etc) and for LEPs to work even more closely with local authorities in other areas. Then the kicker: "A very tight spending settlement for BEIS – the department for business – means that core funding for LEPs is being reduced by 25% and for Growth Hubs by 50%."

He lacks something for me. Seems a reasonable bloke but this is a golden opportunity for the Labour Party and I’m not convinced he is the man to deliver.

Personally I hope neither of them will be chosen with an overall majority and I suspect that many people feel that way. A large number of people will end up voting based more on who they don't want.

Maybe one day we'll have a system in place where more people feel that they can vote for a party that represents their core values/beliefs, rather than a lesser of two evils choice.
And still end up with the same lesser of two evils as PM? Or still the greater evil? Lib Dems enabled all this.

I’m not part of a Union as it’s not within the remit of the job that I’m in but I am a member of a large charity board that canvasses members and does the best for them.

Part of the remit is for me to give presentations to current and possibly new members and one of the points I make is that the charity is not there for the best of me, but for the best of those that need it.

Never really thought about it but does show the difference. Some see it as power, others see it as a responsibility. That’s the real difference between Tory and Labour.
