Keir Starmer

You lot remind me of the German football fans who would rather Bayern Munich win the league every single year for eternity then allow private ownership.

Fucking losers in the literal sense who'd rather hold onto an imaginary ideal while the country burns than actually win an election.

I want an actual alternative, not just Bayern winning and Dortmund with the odd one. My vote means fuck all where I live anyway.

Sorry, just fallen on this as it was in the line sight of a reply. Who, within the opposition would you be convinced by?
I don’t know to be honest as I don’t have enough knowledge of them to make a judgement. I thought Corbyn was a disaster for Labour and the MP who was dropped into my constituency pre last election disappointed me a great deal. I think Starmer was a safe bet after him to get them back on track but I watch his performances/speeches and I think he lacks a bit of passion.

Let me help you out...

If it wasn't for the Labour Party, we'd probably have a Labour government.
Doesn’t help at all, it’s a blinkered out of date view of somebody that doesn’t get why we over the last 50 years have had mainly Tory governments. About the only time we didn’t we had a government you didn’t like. You may prefer a Tory government to a Labour government you don’t think is ‘Labour’ enough. It’s an opinion ,but one that does fuck all to help people in the country that would benefit from a non Tory governmen, I find it self centred.Simply because you and others prefer an unelectable Labour party. Hopefully Starmer or if not his successor can change that.

It’s a fair point and one that I understand. For me, and please understand that I’m not a Labour supporter but, Starmer puts across credible arguments and policies that would want me voting for his party. I don’t want unrealistic dreams, I just want a party that will stick to what they tell me and try to achieve what they say.

There is an argument that it’s anybody other than what’s happening at the moment, or they are all just the same. I don’t see that, I see a party who will do the best for this country while another party will do the best for themselves.

Everybody has a choice, this time I choose Labour.

Labour party members job as I see it, is to kick out the party that's responsible for Windrush.

Tories on the verge of self-destruction?

Oh what a suprise, the centre emerge as the real enemy.

Fearful people are easily led. Some of the most fearful are entrenched on the wings of either party. Cs who hide in the crowd of 'WHITE BRITISH" using flags, military stuff and threats of draconian law-and-order to avoid ever getting called out. And Ls who hide in the unions and ideological congregations. Emotions rule them. Fear being the greatest. All a cover up of the horror of being singled out as not quite the thing. They'll scream and kick out if the leaders says they must fight. And they won't be able to tell why. The brain takes care of conjuring up the relative justification pretty fucking easily.

Nothing to be done, except say, let go, lads. We can do this lot, those cunting racist-pandering bastards. They who without any useful excuse, robbed a bunch of long term established and committed Brits, poor, ordinary people who proved to be fantastic cultural assets... robbed them of their citizenship and human dignity.

We can do them up a treat. And work towards making sure nothing like that happens again, because we'll be the ones quietly educating people to know better than to think taking away someone else's rights actually makes your life better.

Deep. Think that you need to extrapolate.

One landslide, then lost votes over and over until inevitably they lost an election.

Clearly you don't understand what changing the political landscape means. Prime Minister Attlee changed the political landscape and it lasted thirty years, Thatcher changed it for another thirty, all the other PMs operated in their shadow.

Clearly you share one thing in common with all third wayers, you believe the problem with the Labour Party is the Party itself. You're like a parasite, hitching a ride on a host you hate, lying to it, then emasculating it.

You come across all Billy Big Bollocks, but there's a real hint of desperation. If, as you say, the masses want the third way then why don't you fuck off and start a true third way party and give it to them, then you can leave the Labour Party to decay and die, you clearly fucking hate it.

PS: I always get a vision of guys like you screaming "why won't people do as they're told!, Don't they realise it's for their own good!"
No need for that.

If we’re going to stop another decade of Tory rule, we need Labour to be united and strong and not tear itself apart over idealogical divisions.

You’re quite entitled to hold your own views about your idealised version of what you think Labour should be. But that doesn’t necessarily correlate with what Labour is in 2022.

Labour hasn’t won an election on a far left ticket for over 40 years. It’s won 3 elections on a centre left ticket, and is on course to win a 4th with the same outlook.

You can blame the Daily Mail, Blair, Starmer, me, whoever you like, for there not being a “proper Labour” PM (as you might envision it) elected for over 40 years, but we are where we are.

I won’t be so bold as to tell you to “fuck off to the Communist party if you want”, but there are alternatives that might better reflect your ideology if you don’t like the direction of travel.

But I’d much rather you stay in the party, be diplomatic, compromise, and help put an end to this Tory shit show and get back to having serious people in government that will save the NHS and hopefully make ordinary people’s lives better than the hell we’re currently living in.
