He said no one would dare reduce pensions and that is what i was replying to I'm not responsible for his lack of clarity, anyhow i know you have a bizarre problem with pensioners but the latest of yeah but being rich means you will live longer is hilarious. But he's never said that. The essential unfairness is that on average the poorest pensioners get less pension than the richest pensioners - because, being rich, they live longer so take the pension for many more years than poor pensioners, so get way more benefit from the pension. (They've probably paid more tax, but these 25/30 years of pensions are being paid for now by people in work with vastly higher housing costs and who won't get the pension till 68 or later.)
What you suggesting here shooting them at 75? Reducing the state pension for rich folk? , if they get cancer at 70 do you give them what they lost out on for not living longer? These people will have paid their tax not just once in working but twice during retirement. The private pension is given to them by companies they worked for, it has nothing to do with us.
There is a social agreement that people rich or poor get a state pension, a pension which is lower than most other wealthy and not so wealthy European countries.
We all started our working lives with this promise.
Grab the money from elsewhere.
