Not a thread for gloating and waffling about corbyn, he is the past, but who the genuine commited labour supporters both past and present on here would like to see.

Doesn't matter, Corbyn got the gig because of how the party is set up. Union power does not sit well with the electorate and it hangs over the party like a bad smell. John Smith and Blair sorted all that out, so they'll need to do it again, otherwise voters will remain distrusting of the next leader.
 
It will not matter who is next leader, because whoever it is will be subjected to horrific attacks from the far right wing media.

The greatest con trick of all time has just happened before our eyes and the establishment have won, they will be popping their champagne corks and laughing at the plebs who voted for them knowing they can now enact their capitalist wankfest.

The country I love is fucked, it doesn't matter who leads our great party anymore, we are on the way to a one party state, run by the wealthy for the wealthy and loads of fucking daft cunts voted for it to be like that.

Solidarity comrades, its all we have, keep up the good fight and stay safe, those fucking clowns who voted for the tories will need us at some point in the future and we will have to be there for them and help pick up the pieces of the imminent disaster.

That is chilling, its decimation of the rights of the working class who have fought for centuries to be able to hold their heads up and be an honest player in the capitalist system.

I never imagined I would see the day when the working class turned on itself and did so much self harm. I am ok, millions are not and those millions need the Unions to have power to look after their members and be honest brokers for the working class.

Yes, always. I care about my country, believe it or not I even care about those who voted for clowns like Johnson and Gove. I care deeply and it hurts that our great country is run by twats who couldn't give two fucks about the working class.

I fear for everyone, our nation is going to struggle on, kids will still go hungry and be schooled poorly, people will still be homeless and everyone will suffer under the jackboot of extreme neo-liberalism.

The one saving grace is that by leaving the EU, there is now real hope at some time in the future we can have a Socialist utopia free of the neo-liberalist diktat of the capitalists.

People aren't stupid. The union block vote was removed in Labour but they're not daft enough to think Corbyn got the job just via his CV.

It's not about worker's rights, it's about how some union leaders are influencing a political party.
 
I believe the majority of labour voters lent their vote to the wankers to get brexit done. We will come back stronger as a party with a new younger fresher leader who appeals to the electorate and boot these fuckers out of power

No offence rascal but until you realise you're part of the problem then it's not a good outlook. If rayner or Phillips get it Labour is doomed. Christ sake pick Lewis we need an opposition and we need political reform

Spot on. If the remainers are right about the consequences of brexit then I'd expect this result turned upside down at the next GE whoever leads labour. If remain turn out to be lying and it all goes pretty well then labour may have a big problem if poor/working class or even just your average family have more money in their pockets by the next GE.

No offence taken. I am a dyed in the wool Socialist, I truly believe it is the best way for our country to be run. I don't want another Blairite or a right wing Labour party, it is anathema to me. I am what I am, I will remain what I am and I will live in hope that one day people will see things the way I see them.

Johnson is on the telly talking about thumping majorities, yet only 45% of the those who bothered to vote, voted Tory. Our system as you quite rightly point out needs drastic reform but the system suits the governing party so it will not change.
