I think his call for an inquiry into Bame and Coronavirus shows he and his party fail to prioritise what’s important and are stuck in a little bubble that most find rather absurd.
Its all so predictable.
Science will tell us in the years to come why it is BAME are seemingly catching this horrible virus and passing away in abnormally large numbers and not some inquiry based around political point scoring and wanting to blame the opposition with accusations of racism.
We are right at the start of the pandemic and he thinks we can have an inquiry?
Ridiculous Kier.
Starmer in made up racism to damage opponent shocker! Its all so predictable.

Especially when basic demographics of London the nhs and care workers are openly available and will contribute most of the reasons. It affects men much more than women as well where is the public enquiry? Are men crying out for one? No. Is anyone in particular crying out for one? Let’s just deal with the virus.
Then Labour can play the same games that have been so effective for them over the years:-)
They've pushed this narrative from the start even hijacked the clap for the NHS pushing an initiative to clap for minorities. The real test will be the stats in countries where minorities aren't minorities and whether or not the death rate is astronomical.
As you rightly say, Men are the overwhelmingly affected victims whichever race they are.

Best explanation I've heard is it's to do with vitamin d giving higher respiratory tract immunity and people with dark skin don't produce enough vitamin d naturally. It'll be interesting to see if gingers are similarly affected as they can't tolerate enough sunlight to make vitamin d. If it turns out COVID has unfairly gone after BAME and the gingers then we can probably draw the conclusion that this virus is a racist.Valid question.
The figures show BAME are affected the most in other countries so it's fair the question should be asked here.

You do know the government has launched an inquiry into it don't you? It wasnt just Labour asking for it.
The British Medical Association have asked for it as they're alarmed by the statistics and believe there may be other reasons that could be addressed now to protect people and save lives. The make up of the workforce does not "mostly" explain the statistics at all. It explains some of it. The government are concerned by it too hence their decison to launch an inquiry two weeks ago.
Understanding why different groups are suffering in a wildly disproportionate way IS part and parcel of dealing with the virus.
Asking why BAME people are suffering disproportionately doesn't suggest racism is at play. Ignoring the problem would be though.
Valid question.

Was about to post the same thing. There’s a certain irony in accusing them of political games with it really...
Suggests genetics could be at play unfortunately and I'm sure science will look into it and provide an answer when it can.
Same for why men seemingly are more affected.
Valid question.

My money is on social class.
The right are scrabbling to find a genetic component and it might be so.
My money is on social class.
Is more than likely the correct answer.
Oh my god, has anybody told them? Maybe someone should tell them and then we won't need to have an inquiry.
