Although Starmer is much less of a buffoon than BJ I don't think he'd fair much better. We have a choice at present of killing people, killing the economy, or as Boris is doing killing a bit of both. Ultimately I think Starmer would do exactly the same thing - try and tread a middle line and please everyone.

Might have saved 30k lives by doing the bleeding obvious, 'treading a middle line' and locking down in early March when we had the benefit of hindsight in watching how the infection was spreading in Italy,Spain and France.
Always worth protecting the lives of the citizens of your own country.

So Keir Stamer born in London and educated at state school is too 'london centric' but Boris de Piffel Johnson born in NYC and educated at Eton Collage is fine for the working class oiks.

I'm not taking the piss. I agree with you about Boris and just think Starmer is crap too. Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean I'm a WUM. Starmer only seems capable of retrospective decisions based on hindsight.

Indeed, and just to reiterate, hindsight was perfectly possible then due to what had already happened in China, South Korea, Italy and Spain.
