Why are you using a Dutch map? The sub-division into regions is an English thing.

Regions in the United Kingdom

The UK consists of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. With the exception of England, each of these countries has its own parliament. Matters of common concern such as foreign and defence policy are, however, decided by the UK parliament in London.
The UK has a population of 66 million: 55.6 million in England, 5.4 million in Scotland, 3.1 million in Wales and 1.9 million in Northern Ireland.
England has nine official regions, each with its own Enterprise Zone. These are specially designated areas where the UK government supports economic growth by means of special tax rules and government support.
You can find more information about the countries of the UK and the English regions by clicking on the links below.

It doesn't actually state Scotland as a region does it?

It was the first one on Google, you can choose more.

Is that you confirming you are wrong? Was this just you being contrarian for the sake of it?
What’s your problem mate? You’re constantly spoiling for a fight and making snide accusations.

No, it’s not me saying I’m wrong, I am correct. England specifies regions but then when the UK is taken as a whole, Scotland, Wales and NI are a region each too.

From the very link you posted:
The Maastricht Treaty encouraged the creation of regional boundaries for selection of members for the Committee of the Regions of the European Union: Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland had each constituted a region, but England represents such a large proportion of the population of the United Kingdom that further division was thought necessary
Now I know what you’re about to say, but no, these regions haven’t been cast aside because of Brexit, they still exist, even if they do nothing today.

When you see 'we' who do you mean, because Scotland does indeed need immigration and lots of it.
The UK needs immigration, Scotland more so than England. What we do need though is proper immigration controls, but we also need employers who will not take advantage of immigrants and pay proper wages.

The problem the west has is falling birth rates, I think the UK is now below 2 at around 1-7 which means population is falling. It also means we have a shortage of younger people and more older fuckers like me.

A balance has to be struck. Patel to authoritarian, Labour was too liberal. Somewhere there needs to be a compromise.

Let’s not fall out again please.
There’s nothing to fall out over, it’s not an insult, it’s just a fact of decades of being in the EU and it still is a region, just as Wales and NI are, with England being too many people so they divided it up.

It’s like falling out over it raining in Manchester, it just is.

Spot on, but that discussion has been closed down/poisoned by the open borders loons and the racists.

The UK had 12 statistical regions according the European NUTS classification system.

9 in England + Scotland, Wales, NI.

Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistics - Wikipedia

ONS regional statistics have been grouped in this way since the 90s. e.g. there was a time when Cumbria was lumped in with the North East as part of region termed the North, but since the 90s its been lumped together with Lancashire, Cheshire, GM + Merseyside as part of the North West.

This is a more official source as it is an official body, it refers to areas as countries and regions. I'm sure you can appreciate why for political reasons the nations aren't referred to as regions. I seem to recall you have identified as a unionist, I'm not sure why you would argue something that undermines your unionism and has the habit of pissing off people in the smaller nations of for no gain.

The context of regionalisation you are referring to no longer exists as these regional areas or constituencies for the EU don't exist anymore. The main use of the English regions is now for statistics.
