Grab a Gammon now Keith.
For non politicos the speech is well written, albeit read by an android. The worst thing about the speech is that I could've read the iliad quicker. Otherwise I think he might come out of it pretty well.
For all Blair's fault he has charisma. Starmer doesn't.
Yes, he should have had a few “oven ready” lies and a social care policy “ready to go” like the lying **** in charge now had.Its all a bit broad brush for me.............if the Tories want to go to the polls next summer then he will need to have put some flesh on the bones of all that aspiration
They’ll concentrate on the negative, just like the left are.Tight camera angles on shadow cabinet members clapping like demented seals will do that.
Be interesting to see the media edits later either chucking delegates out or recording the heckling.
Even if he doesn‘t, the choice will be between a decent, competent, experienced individual and Johnston. What will the country decide I wonder? Its all a bit broad brush for me.............if the Tories want to go to the polls next summer then he will need to have put some flesh on the bones of all that aspiration
Reminds me of Trump or Biden.Even if he doesn‘t, the choice will be between a decent, competent, experienced individual and Johnston. What will the country decide I wonder?
If he looks anywhere near like gaining traction they will find something to bury him with. However his personality may negate that occuring.I didn’t listen to it all but what I heard I liked. Work.Care.Equality.Security. I liked his comments about health and crime. Liked the comparison of himself to Johnson. That was well done. Is he going to reach the electorate through our media though?
But most people will only see 3 short clips on the TV News. The worst thing about the speech is that I could've read the iliad quicker. Otherwise I think he might come out of it pretty well.
How do you think we got Johnson as PM? Most Tory MPs didn't want him.Not saying this is eerything it needs to be,or is election winning, on the other hand who should have more power the elected MPs or the paying members with their own agendas, there has to be a balance but currently those unelected members have too much power over those elected by millions.
Well there you go.Except Tory Mps get the final say as far as I remember. Doesn't change the fact elected Labour MPs that are answerable to the voters for their policies should get the final say not paing members that are answerable to nobody. How do you think we got Johnson as PM? Most Tory MPs didn't want him.
No, I think Starmer is better than Biden.Reminds me of Trump or Biden.
The world is crying out for boring, intelligent, empathetic leaders with a soupçon of charisma. No, I think Starmer is better than Biden.
