Keir Starmer

This is an extract from an interview in the FT with Rachel Reeves the Shadow Chancellor.....

Meanwhile Reeves said that a drop in Labour membership, which has reduced the party’s income, was a price worth paying for shedding unwelcome supporters and removing the “stain” of anti-Semitism from the party. “Membership in my constituency is falling and that’s a good thing,” she said. People had left “who should never have joined the Labour party. They never shared our values,” she added.

Christian Wakeford on the other hand....

does share Labour's values.....Presumably

This is profoundly depressing.

I do not share her values and people like her are the reason I can not vote Labour.

She is also a hypocrite, she has expressed a deep admiration for Nancy Astor, who was a rabid anti semite.

A LP mate of mine has told me Keith has been asking media mates to give him tips on getting the "star factor."

He's got bigger worries than that. The exodus of lw members and costs of litigation following the genocidal regime of Czech spy and racist Jeremy Corbyn means the party are close to bankruptcy in an electoral system where broadly speaking money=success. He needs to attract those big business doners now, but doing that while maintaining any pretence of lw/socialist values will be a lot tougher than getting the 'star factor'.

Maybe once they find the key to that it will translate into a 20 point lead that surely any other leader would get when faced with such a shambolic and corrupt government?

i called it 2 years ago (see my post history), and I still stand by this. The moment they kicked out Corbyn and Starmer entered into the frame (Labour leader) he was marked to be the next PM. The whole thing is a farce.

Why? Corbyn had long enough to win a general election but he couldn’t

Starmer is more centred, coming across well with integrity and nailing Boris at PMQ’s. It’s little surprise he could be our next PM

I just can't see Starmer winning an election and that's a damning indictment considering the opposition if he doesn't win at the polls... He's twinned with Charisma off London's Burning....
