Simply stopping the slide into the mire of corruption being pursued by the current government would be a major win. Undoing some of the more draconian measures being enacted would also be welcomed.

It will depend on how many are drawn into fuel poverty.

The more money becomes an issue for people, the less corruption they will allow the Tories to get away with.

I know a vicar whose church was in Hartlepool and they loved Corbyn and vocally called out Starmer in the run up to the by-election up there. They were interviewed on TV etc about it.

When the Tory won, I asked them if they had got their wish regarding Starmer.

I am still awaiting an answer.

To be fair he is probably still celebrating the introduction of 10-12 foodbanks in Hartlepool plus a couple of baby banks and some clothes banks - thanks to a Tory victory poverty and deprivation will continue to be a growth success story in Hartlepool

Just for the record, Starmer went to a state school. It was a private school by the time he left.

Rudge didn't attend a private school either.

Approximately 9m of the 35m people employed in UK workforce have jobs that define them as working class.

The UK has a highly skilled workforce compared to the last time your type of politics were in power mate, back in the 70s over 40% of the workforce were in roles that defined them as working class - put another way social mobility has verifiably happened for millions of people.

The road to salvation is that over half the country still identify themselves as working class. Although in surveys over the years the number that immediately jump to being working class, without being prompted to pick working or middle, have declined to some extent.

So I’m afraid mate whilst your campaign to fight a class war may get plenty of “hear hear’s” down the social club or on here when push comes to shove turkeys don’t vote for Christmas so its time to find a different tune that taps into working class values but leaves that class war shite in the past where it belongs. Until then we will never get a socially just system.

All sensible stuff that - I cannot think of any people that I know that are still living in the 70s - people have aspirations and have moved onwards and upwards so to speak.
