Keir Starmer

Find someone who looks at you the way Rachel Reeves is looking at Keir Starmer in PMQ's.

The lass is frothing at the gash.

James O'Brien challenging Keir Starmer about Brexit and why he is ignoring the consequences. He is clearly shitting being accused of wanting to rejoin but we should expect a ramping up of his highlighting the consequences to trade, agriculture, fishing, lack of growth to the economy, Northern Ireland based on what he said. About bloody time too.

Saddleworth. Agree entirely. Whatever your individual political persuasion or whether you were pro- Brexit or an advocate of remain, a decent scorecard on the positive / negative effect of Brexit should be available by now. And one that the average Jo can understand.
Brexit was never going to be a controlled experiment and there are multiple other factors influencing how it is winding out (not least the pandemic) but is Brexit working or not?

Its one of the most radical things this country has done for decades and those in power who pushed hardest should be accountable.
This can’t be done without clear measures.
I have posted on the forum recently about my family’s struggles with Brexit. They are involved in the seafood industry And see the exercise as a total disaster.
Coming next as heinously expensive acts of faith will be HS2 and levelling up.
The investors / controllers / shareholders of any big business would not sign off on any significant investment without an idea of what it would deliver and how success / failure would be measured.

This government is pissing away the futures of our kids / grandkids.

There are enough economic measures to underline what a shit idea it was and the impact on growth and trade it has had. We are the only country in history to vote for trade sanctions on ourselves. It is a total disaster and I am sorry for the consequences it has had for your family.

The deed is done and rejoining is off the agenda for a decade at least (other than through independence for Scotland). If Labour get in at the next election they will need to address the mess they have been left.

They would at least want a made up prospectus to try and prove they were right in their investments. What is quite remarkable about Brexit is - like Covid - the Govt just want to say its done and move on with privatising C4 or taking money off people but claiming its a tax cut ..........I mean they have brazenly ignored/abandoned their claims and have even got Rees-Smug asking US to find the benefits.

I agree Starmer needs to set out the truth as in this is what was promised - this is where we are - this based on where we are is as far as we can take it ( be it fishing, farming, exports etc ) and when the Govt try to shout him down challenge them to actually set their stall and and point out WHERE the calculations he is presenting are incorrect rather than behaving like a child shouting you are wrong from the sidelines but not offering anything up. In short he needs to put them on the spot.

Double like

I see Johnson has tapped into an open net, while Starmer was fiddling in his trousers looking for his penis.

Starmer is weak, weak, weak, an inexperienced political bungler, with the gravitas of a wet lettuce. Petty and vindictive to those he despises in his own party, vacillating and painfully indecisive in public.

He's going to let the fat fool off the hook.

As soon as Starmer nails those colours to the mast whatever he says he's fucked.

Boris and the Tories will use vote labour to being back EU controlling you to the nth degree and the gammons will fall for it again.

At least O'Brien acknowledged that.

It's not easy to make it a factor as Johnson just denies the details from the OBR, etc.
They need to find a way that gets under Johnson's skin and somehow compels him to address the question asked.

I'll have a listen to the interview.

I think the Tories have binned off being interviewed by him as he treats them with the same style.

They'd rather go safe with their mate Ferrari or Boris' sister.

I didn't see anything particularly dramatic in what he said or avoided.

It's the type of thing he and his front bench need to get onto.

This is poor - can't even bring himself to say LIAR

I'm guessing he won't outright call him a liar because he's not that type of person, and he is trying to come across as a serious politician.

Trouble is ...there is a big element of the electorate who want(or think they want) a leader who calls a spade a spade.

Hoping Johnson keeps fucking up and Labour gets elected by default ain't exactly inspiring.

It's great having the grown ups back in charge....

So what were the tweets?

Also the headline says “two Jeremy Corbyn tweets” but the article makes it clear they were tweets “related” to Corbyn.

Im genuinely staggered anyone would write this article without including the relevant tweets. How is it even a story without them?
