Keir Starmer

"Starmer chickens out of meeting journalists over beer gate!"

Compare and contrast to the way they treat Johnson when he runs off every single week to avoid scrutiny.

All these Covid investigations by the police are pissing me off, don’t they have any criminals to bring to justice.
I'm sure they aren't too chuffed at being told to investigate it either. The legislation was not aimed at retrospective enquiries. What a waste of taxpayer money and valuable resources

A full on party? Are you sure? Also it was late at night so would be a bit of a stretch to call it a “buffet lunch”.
The tories had a DJ in the middle of the worst part of the pandemic ffs what else would you call it.
The starmer pictures look like the very definition of a working buffet lunch, show me evidence that it wasn't.
You're clearly a brainwashed tory voter

Not at all - but I ain’t half enjoying watching all those who chastised Johnson & co, pirouette.

So you said a full on party in 2020 yet the event a DJ was purportedly at occurred on 16th April 2021. Johnson wasn’t there, nothing to say what staffers were and if they were all Tories, and it wasn’t at the worst part of the pandemic. But it was wrong and should not have occurred, has been investgiated and fines rightly been issued.

It wasn’t a working buffet lunch because it was a night time, you could say it’s a buffer dinner. I’m being pedantic but meh. One of the key items being investigated is if they all went back to work afterwards - if they didn’t then they are in the shit and the fact it was fairly late at night does make it a challenge.

I've had working lunches at night before, what does time of day have to do with it?

Sounds a bit like he is trying to play both sides. Otherwise why not come out and publicly state that now? Leaks to a select friendly reporter I’ll quit, if found innocent says “yeah I would of”, if found guilty says “I never said that”.

He's going to make the announcement himself leaving no room for any u turn if he's found guilty. I'm no fan but it's a pretty bold flex tbh as makes the prime minister look even more of a coward.

I've just read that Durham Police do not issue FPNs, not sure if that's true or not. Be interesting to see how he words it. Might give him a clever out.

Or given that it is Durham police it will be similar to Cummings. He may committed a minor breach but we have no intention to take retrospective action. Not sure what happens in that scenario, the whole farce rumbles on I presume.
