Keir Starmer

Surely then it would be anti Semitic of Corbyn to stand as an independent? I jest, but I'm sure it would be spun by some as Corbyn v the Jews.
Blatant isn't it.

No time for Berger playing the victim again when she slept with Euen Blair to get her seat in the first place.

Narrow interests being socialists and unions, broad interests being Lord's with a lot of money presumably?
Starmer trying to get party funding independent of unions so he can stand up to them thatcher style.
Probably blow it all on legal fees

The labour party is now just a vehicle for starmer to get the keys to number 10 and represent the interests of whoever he sees as a priority. If the party is broken and bankrupt after he's had his five years in the sun I can't see him being too bothered tbh. Priority now is getting power for five years and maintaining the status quo so the Tories can regroup and govern for the following twenty.

Doing a decent job of letting the Tories implode and ensuring that those who have lost trust in politics come back to him. What a turnaround, almost unheard of.

They need to now start to look at proper policies.

They are absolutely on the right track. No need for policy detail until the election is on us. Labour was such a mess under Corbyn, its incredible how quickly a new leader can change the outlook or a party.

David Lammy isn’t exactly having much success as shadow foreign secretary. Surely Starmer should consider getting Mark Regev in on a free?

It’s astonishing the time it’s took to turn this around, the media basically left Labour 6 foot under and most commentators said that it would take many years, even a generation, for them to come back.

Would he have been there without how the Tories have been?

Does it matter.

Not arsed about honesty in politics now then? Funny that

Apparently he is coming in to speak to my sons politics class next week.
Bit strange seeing as there are never on the ballot.
What to get him to ask...hmmmm

What honesty in politics, you believe there’s honesty?

Only honesty is that Keith is the way forward and regardless of if you feel that you’ve been harmed, surely you want anything other than this government?

There was an honest candidate quite recently. We get rid of this government and replace it with whatever Labour is offering at the time. How does it fundamentally change my life?

They're a stop-gap until the tory cunts sort themselves out and get back in. Bookmark this post, get back to me if anything changes.

Why bookmark an inevitability? That’s how politics works, get rid of the leadership that you don’t like and then get ready to do the same a few years later. What they do in that time counts.

Anything that pisses off the loony left is OK with me.

"Loony left" is such a right winged trope.

At the minute there are different versions of the 'left'.

'Traditional'- Your Foots, Kinnocks, Corbyns.

'Modern'- late version of Blair and Starmer.

Bearing in mind one version is fighting for people/ workers and their rights whilst the other bends their knee to corporation power and war big business.

Only one can be 'loony', so which is it?

What a joker!

If it didn't matter, why did the MSM weigh down the scales on Corbyn politics?

Remember when McDonnell proposed the 4 day working week as work/ life balance and a boost in productivity and it was laughed at?

Lo and behold recent studies with company participants are seeing this as factual. Some taking it on, some doing extended research on it and some still not convinced.

Former labour leadership looking to make life better for the working class versus new leaders doing what...?
