Keir Starmer

You say a whole new level, but what do you actually mean in terms of specifics as you haven’t provided any.

It can’t possibly be intellect, people and social skills, judgement, speed of thought, good manners, ability to read a room, self-awareness, communication skills, diplomacy, critical thinking skills or empathy.

I suppose she was more decisive but that is militated against by her truly appalling decision making.

So what characteristics did Truss possess that are on a whole never level to Starmer in terms of being discernibly better?
Anyone who genuinely believes Truss was anything but the worst PM in living memory is entirely delusional.

I could make a backed up argument that she was the worst leader of any western country since WW2.

I could make a backed up argument that she was the worst human wing of any western country since WW2!

One of the headlines in the BBC is ‘Starmer repeatedly asked if he will rule out VAT rise in Budget’.

If you actually listen to it, he says ‘we made that commitment in our manifesto, and the manifesto stands’. He then repeats ‘the manifesto stands’ about 10 times.

It’s interesting the slant that the article has taken. Clearly in a bid to rile people up and worry people them about further financial pressure. It’s incredibly irresponsible. No wonder reform are polling so well when misleading headlines are everywhere!
It isn’t by accident, most have been doing it from the get-go. And, to be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the media so vociferous in their attacks.

Obviously Labour must be doing something right is areas as all their plans/policies that seem to want to help the country are being attacked.

Only a fucking idiot would suggest Starmer is the worst PM we have ever had after living through the previous incumbents.
Its nice to have an adult in charge for the first time in a long time.
He is far from perfect and there are plenty of things that the Labour Party are doing which I do not like. But, I look at the the alternatives and they offer no solutions to any problems.
Reform getting in would be a bigger disaster than Brexit.
Completely agree. Are they forgetting about the shysters that bled the country dry fifteens year prior? And for what? What did the Tories leave us with?

Starmer has been unequivocally crap thus far, but he's still a million miles away from reaching the nadir of his predecessors.

The guy is completely lost. He’s no idea of who he is, what he stands for, or what he believes. No conviction behind anything he says. Unless Labour replace him with someone who actually has some sort of vision for the country they’ll get smashed at the next election.
At least Burnham comes across as genuine.

And Labour, the Lib Dems and Greens need to fight hard to stop Reform getting in. They would not only be a disaster for the country but they are a RACIST and Fascist party who would deport many good decent hard working people who make a vital contribution to our vital services and economy. We MUST take the fight to them. Labour has to win people over with policies that make peoples lives better and that means more money in their pockets through getting costs down by having better trading relations with our neighbours, scrapping the 2 child benefit cap. That would be good for business too. Less red tap introduced by brexit and more money in people's pockets to stimulate the economy. We can have better services by introducing a digital transaction tax and a wealth tax.

You do realise this is a thread about Keir Starmer?

That’s good. It was just that didn’t refer to him at all.
Don't need to. He needs to focus on delivering for the majority with policies like the ones I outlined, being bold rather than ultra cautious which is helping nobody.

Harsh, he knows what he is, the perks he wants, the titles, the kudos, the lucrative promotional work for companies, the paid speeches, the eu job, the Lords, the drinks in the gentleman's clubs laughing and joking with his opposition about the games they played.

BTW Burnham is the same.

Truss also made Lizzie give up on life.

Sorry to bring more disappointment but Burnham is not genuine.
