Keir Starmer

Looks like for the first time there will be Nationalist governments in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland at the same time by Friday next week. Not sure what difference that might make in England other than a potential surge towards English Nationalism by some.

The Labour leader in Scotland has already gone on record asking Starmer to stand down such is the state of the party in Scotland. There has even been 'chatter' up here about some kind of agreement with Reform to help ensure SNP don't get a majority. Thats denied btw. For the first time in my life I am choosing the party that is least bad rather than a positive choice Despite all that I can't see SNP getting an overall majority (proportional representation) so likely another collaboration with the Greens.

My thinking around independence these days is that until the SNP government can demonstrate that they can deliver complex change then they have no chance of getting the majority support they need irrespective of what the polls say. They have seriously failed in the years since Covid. If you cant look after building a couple of ferries what chance forming an independent country?

Get with the message, Starmer is to blame for everything, just ask Farage , Badenoch , Rees Mogg , Truss , Nick Ferrari, Trump , Jenrick , The Sun , Daily Mail , a veritable roll call of the great and good .
Fuck me if any of these cunts told me it was Thursday today I’d check the calendar .
If any of these had their way Trump and Putin would be balls deep into them . All fucking baying to join Trump in his Iranian excursion then backtracking like fuck when they realised the **** didn’t have a clue .
Can’t wait to see the reaction of the fuckers who vote that twat Farage into power when their workplace rights are decimated and the NHS destroyed. Who will they blame then ? No doubt that will be Starmers fault .

Spot on.

Every other day on some pretext or another the usual suspects predict Starmer's imminent demise and on quieter days they predict a civil war.

I agree. And that puts them in a really difficult position.

I don't see any realistic prospect of the Greens winning any kind of power (other than by influence). They won in Gorton and Denton largely because of the atypical demographic which is not representative of 650 seats. Perhaps of 50 to 100 So they won't get more than 50 to 100 seats IMO. The majority of the non-partisan non-Muslim public view them as the utter loons they are.

But taking 50 to 100 seats off Labour is catastrophic for Labour. The problem Labour has is if they pivot left to stop this voting exodus, they alienate a much greater number of moderate voters who voted Labour last time. We'd see a repeat of the previous failed Miliband and Corbyn campaigns.

Quite a dilemma. Still I expect it is not a dilemma for Labour members who will simply install Miliband again or Rayner, oblivious.
This is absolutely spot on but the Right has the same issues with the Tories and Reform. A hung parliament is a very realistic possibility and I think whoever wins will have to enter into coalition.

A worrying prospect with so many charlatans who will be in the mix.

Restore are already taking off Reform, I should have said.
They can all take off each other as far as I'm concerned, have at it, I'm all for it coz it's a zero sum game. There's a limit to their appeal and they're all struggling to break through it, all right wing clusterfucks in Europe have the same problem.

Trump only succeeded in the States with a MAGA coup of an existing mainstream party.

I couldn’t give a fuck either to be honest, there’s not a single party out there worth my vote. Probably won’t bother.

Agreed. I have to hope that Reform, Restore and the Tories will see sense and do a deal. There's barely a policy difference between them at this point.

Why might the economy improve? I'd say it has no chance of improving. The economic backdrop is unfavourable and they have shit policies. Not a great recipe.
Where do you stand on Brexit? That's costs us billions. That braindead policy came from Farage.

Where did you stand with the Tories? After a decade of Austerity which, incidentally, didn't really adversely affect 'their' people, they trebled the National Debt.

Two of the most "shit policies" of all time. You've made your views clear re the current government ad nauseum, but where did/do you stand with the Tories and Reform and their biggest policies of the last decade or so?

Over to you Chippy Boy...
