Manchester City wonder-kid Kelechi Iheanacho , 18, is set to be given the green-light by the medical team of The Citizens to resume full training with their youth team after being on the treatment table for close to two months.

Against Schalke 04 in the UEFA Youth League on February 24, the Nigeria youth international was forced to leave the pitch 11 minutes after his introduction due to an ankle injury.

The striker is well on his road to recovery, having started individual training under the supervision of Manchester City's medical team.

He's done nothing to warrant being 3rd choice. If he seriously impresses again in pre season he can get the no4 spot, behind 3 established strikers (Aguero, Bony and a new striker). As we will be playing predominantly 1 up top next season we should need a 4th choice, but regular EDS football at this stage in his career is no bad thing. At least until January when we can review the situation.

However I have this niggling bad feeling about him, that its not going to work out for some reason. I mean, all the time he's missed through injury despite not being eligible to play for much of the season??? At least we know he has a permit anyhow.

Very similar to Jovetic

As in he seems to get better and better the more he doesn't play.

Me too,saw him in the 5 minutes he played last time out,in them 5 minutes he looked on another level to everyone.Also he had just come back from injury then !
