I'm not sure on the rules but if he's back in training (apparently) with everybody else at the CFA doesn't that mean he has a work permit?

I don't think so; he was pictured training with the first team months ago when he certainly didn't have a work permit.

If he doesn’t have one then he can’t be here earning money. Has he not been with us since the summer, I’m pretty sure he isn’t going to be training with the team for sh!ts and giggles all this time waiting for immigration to catch up with him.
Something going on here (other than work permits) ?

Which is a fucking pain in the arse as he'd have qualified as HG if he'd been signed up on his 18th birthday.

he will still be homegrown as long as he remain here for the next three seasons
HG allows inclusion of the season in which the players turns 21, so that would be the 17-18 season, at the end of which he would have spent 36 months or more

The MVP for the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup, who followed the team’s recent warm-up matches in Ghana via telephone, told Manu he will even play a match for City reserves on Tuesday.
A source further said: “The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are expected to liase with the medical staff of City to determine the extent of Kelechi’s recovery after which a final decision will be taken on this issue.”
He seemed to injure his ankle again, it looked quite innocuous but he gestured to be subbed as soon as he went down and wasn't too keen to carry on. Nothing serious in my opinion he seemed to be walking okay on it afterwards.abellwillring said:Came on for 10 minutes and went back off injured. I am just reading text updates.. unsure if he took a hard foul or if this was a reoccurrence of his ankle injury or what.
