Kelechi Iheanacho

He's another sturridge.

I don't recall Sturridge being voted best player at U17 world cup. The guy has been excellent since U13. No offense, but Sturridge could never make that Nigeria U17 team. Watch the U20 world cup, it's the same team from the U13. In Nigeria, people believe this is probably the best youth team in history, even though we have won the U17 four times.

Anyone noticed that Kelechi brings something different to the team? Like, a sort of confidence they usually don't have in his absence. If they could win a United by 3 goals to 1 that they lost to 4-0 just 2 weeks ago in his absence, then you really must commend his impact on thee team

Tbf our best two central attackers, Boadu & Ambrose have been missing for some time & Pozo has been struggling & it has cost us at both u21 & u18/19 level imo, so it's not surprising Kelechi gives the team a boost.

But he is a bit special imo & I think we have not even seen half of it at City yet. He will get much much better.

He is much better than Sturridge was imo, & seems to have a much better attitude too.

I watched that Nigeria u17s team & I can't remember seeing a better team at that level, & of course we have the biggest star from it. But I thought that lad who played midfield & went to Spurs had a great tournament too. Can't remember his name but we were rumoured to be after him as well as Iheanacho & Nawakali.

Be interesting to see if he comes through there. They all looked decent in that team though. Play great football.

Musa Yahaya

Other Nigerians to watch: Moses Simon, Kingsley Sokari and Isaac Success (who was the star of the U17 side before he got injured and Kelechi took his spot). Also watch Taiwo Awoniyi, who has grown leaps and bounds since U17, currently the star of U20 side with the absence of Iheanacho, Success and Simon.
