Kelechi Iheanacho

More pressure to score against the "lesser" teams scoring against the top sides no pressure plus Nacho not started against many top sides this season while Rashman had to play because of injuries.

Haha fuck off, so your saying scoring against Stoke at home is harder than winning an away derby? Do me a favour mate, as I say by all means we can prefer Nacho but to discredit Rashford this much is laughable

One if them is very good the other is world class - I know which one Is world class and he plays in Sky blue.

Both cracking players. Rasgford obviously gets more plaudits as he's English, and to be fair he's scored some important goals for the Filth. Time will tell which is the better player.

fuck me "world class" haha how could anyone in there right mind call a 19 year old lad whos been largely annonymous against anyone decent world class is beyond me

I would say scoring against Stoke is easier than "winning" an away Derby against demichelis 2016 version.

You can only beat what's in front of you though? Yeah he was against Demichelis but he scored, and the winning goal in an away derby who cares how it happened

I am confident City will do the right thing here. Give him a significant rise now and a new contract with clauses to review pay in line with further progress.

And, although I don't know the lad, he's given no indication whatsoever of being a grasping, unrealistic twat. On the contrary.

So that's a win-win, hopefully.

Eh?

When nacho started against arsenal he looked light years away from being worthy to play on the pitch. Rashford scored two goals against arsenal that won united the game.

I don't think rashford is better by the way before any of the plebs start. I just think that there's little between them at the moment and they're both miles away from being bankers to make it for either city or united

They are both very good players but Kelchi has the edge. Better strike rate, more goals, more goals per minute, better playmaker. The only area where Rashford is slightly better is dribbling.
I totally disagree that he had a poor game against Arsenal. He played mainly in a playmaker role and he ran his socks off pressing Arsenals defensive midfield and defence. He won the ball on numerous occasions and he also made excellent passes to Navas, Aguero and KDB to put us in good attacking positions . Yet he gets pilloried for not passing to Navas - Just how many times has Aguero not passed when a pass was the better option?
Indeed it was Ihenacho tiring along with Fernandinho falling over plus Arsenal putting an extra man in central midfield that resulted in their 2nd equaliser.

I'd have hooked him at half time, maybe 5 minutes after so he can save a bit of face and not damage his confidence. He was fucking dreadful.

I said to Mrs Vienna after the Arsenal game that people have been clamouring for Nacho to start more matches, but when given his chance against the Gunners, he was, frankly, poor.

Now, don't get me wrong; I'm a big fan of the lad and I believe he has a very bright future both at City and for Nigeria, but he still has a lot to learn. He has already proven that he can score just about any type of goal; we have seen opportunist, one-on-one, penalty, header and long-range strikes from Kelechi this season. He has it all and will, hopefully, become a superstar and score many, many more goals for us over the next decade or so.

He was pretty poor against Arsenal, however he still stood out to me simply because of his persistence, he was always trying to get on the ball. When he gave it away a few times at the start of the match, he didn't hide, he tried to make up for it. Didn't go for him, but you wouldn't expect him to be brilliant 100% of the time. Many of our senior players have put in worse performances over the season.

Not sure i'd start him against Swansea, i think De Buyne should be in that space, but if things aren't going our way he'd be the first one to call on.

No I said less pressure if you read my post.

I see all the city fans already calling him a Striker but when he dons the colors of Nigeria he is an attacking midfielder. I'm only waiting for the olympics to see if he'll perform great as an AM bcos that's what his country men see him as.

what`s with the "I see ALL City fans already calling him a striker"

I think he is a great finisher, has great vision and has the knack of being able to find space. I think he is able to play either role

Rashford is a very good kid who may or may not develop into a very good PL player. Kelechi is similar but at this stage I'd say that he shows more potential to become a genuine world class player.

Only time will tell how good they both become but personally of the two I'm happy we've got Kelechi.
