Kelechi Iheanacho

Anyone saying Nacho is clearly a better player needs to take the blue tinted specs off. Early days for both of them but not a chance Nacho is clearly better at this stage. Just hope Nacho can improve his first touch quite dramatically because that is his one glaring weakness at the moment. Great potential though and definitely a natural goal scorer.
Rashfords goals are tap in ins. Our kid rips people a new one before scoring.

I don't get why we have to compare. Why cant we just enjoy having a youngster that looks the business.

For what it's worth too earlier on we was comparing Nacho to Martial, now it's pissing Rashford

You taking the piss?

I think he is right, why would you say nacho is "clearly" better. People can rate him more of course but clearly better is quite wild considering Rashford has done it against big teams and nacho hasn't

They all count and you don't get tap ins without being in the right place at the right time. Both look like they could be very good players. But a lot of players look like that and don't make it. Richards looked like a cert at that age and look how that turned out.

Time, character, injuries and management will tell.

Because I've watched them both. Kelechi and Martial is a fair comparison. Rashford is rubbish. So horrifically average.

That's great and the lad is definitely a natural goal scorer but it's easy to get carried away with stats when it's a young player with so few appearances. Anyone who doesn't believe we have the next great striker on our hands is obviously worried by how poor his first touch is at times. Clearly has lots of potential but I can understand why a few people aren't getting too carried away yet.
Each to their own -- but I am going overboard on this guy. Something I rarely if ever do.
I've seen more than enough to know we have the best striker in the world over the next 10 years playing for us - ikle old MCFC.
His first touch is pretty good - only Silva and Fernandinho have better in our current team.
He has no backlift when delivering a shot -Goalies just can't set themselves for what's coming.
Not the world's greatest pace but it's not bad and he has great acceleration over short distances. This coupled with an unbelievable ability to get into space make him very difficult to defend against ( Ian Wright and Alan Shearer comment on his ability you get into space on MOTD every time they talk about iheanacho).
Aguero will break Brook's record over the next two seasons but Iheanacho will break Aguero's record within 3 seasons of Aguero leaving.
I also have no doubt that Pep will get the best out of both of them. With Pellers gone the world is Iheanacho's Lobster.

Think any comparison is hard, due to both not having played many games at senior level.
I would just be happy for Kelechi to progress and improve with us. Don't give a monkeys about Rashford,
as he doesn't play for City.

Yet for a horrifically average player who is rubbish he has scored a few and won games against City and Arsenal. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying Rashford is better it's the sheer blinkered vision everyone has because he is in a red shirt.

I don't get this Rashford is average stuff. He's been called up for England training, so he can't be average.

Nope, Arsenal left him in loads of space and he had Demichelis on toast. Actually watch his game and you'll see what I mean. He's a Championship player.

(Not saying we pay him 150k a week, just playing devils advocate...)

We've had some right fucking cloggers come through the doors since the takeover who have been paid handsomely while contributing the sum total of almost fuck all to the cause. For the sake of this discussion I'll just name 3 strikers - Adebayor, Santa Cruz, Jovetic. Each one of these lame ducks probably pulled in an easy 100k+ a week for however long they suckled on the milky teat of the club...and Jovetic maybe still is to some degree as we all know the Italian clubs are cheap as chips. They were older. They were shite. (Although Ade almost gets a free pass for that celebration against the tarquins).

In Kelechi we have a kid who (in my opinion) hasn't been given enough chances to show what he is capable of, and in the few chances he has had, he hasn't looked out of place at all in a team of superstars. In fact for the most part he has looked better than many of them and his hunger to succeed is obvious.

(waiting for someone to jump in and name the 2 below average games he has had at 19 years old after starting what? 8 games?)

This is not the kind of talent to spit our dummies out at over money or age, if you have eyes you know the lad is a star in the making and he is just about to spend 3 years under the tutelage of one of the best managers in the game.

The 150k stuff is bollocks, we all know it. Give him a decent pay rise and tie him down to a long term contract, then theres a very good chance going by what we've seen so far that we watch him develop into one of the best strikers to pull on a sky blue shirt in recent memory (although Sergio aside the bar hasnt been set all that high in recent times ffs ;)

Maybe but if you're a striker and your job is to score goals and you do it who cares. I prefer Nacho don't get me wrong it's just the way Rashford is dismissed because he is a rag which is annoying. I wonder why I got bullied in school for being bittter

Yeah I guess I can understand. I rarely, if ever, get carried away over any players ability. This is clearly an aboration on my part.

More pressure to score against the "lesser" teams scoring against the top sides no pressure plus Nacho not started against many top sides this season while Rashman had to play because of injuries.

Those saying Rashford is average need to give their heads a wobble.
The boy is bloody good and will only improve.
Regrettably the rags have two very good forwards in him and Martial. Wouldn't mind either of them here (obviously after an extensive de-lousing process!)

No, it's you and that other bloke....

All about opinions I guess... Personally I think he will be one of europes finest, time will tell though!!

The lad has talent in abundance; it's all about what he makes of it: he has a lot to learn. His finishing ability is potentially extraordinary and has been exceptional ths season but he needs to mature and develop his all round game. I look forward very much to seeing what Pep and his coaching staff teach him.
