Ken Bruce to leave Radio 2

Fair play,i agree.

The lad is clearly very insecure, and despite his achievements...... lacks confidence.I wish him all the best too.
He is mate, very much so, I worry there’s a Caroline Flack vibe to him, I do with Stacey Solomon too, all seem to have very delicate natures behind it all, but I hope not.

Think I’m one of the few people who actually doesn’t mind Rylan, not saying he’s some great presenter/DJ or whatever term you choose to use, I just find him difficult to dislike and think he’s very good at ‘just chatting away’ to people and making them feel welcome.

I say all that, as having read and listened to various interviews over the years with him, I’ve often found there’s something very ‘Keeganesque’ about him, he wears his heart on his sleeve so to speak, very open and honest, and he’s without doubt a a quite damaged and emotional person, I think he genuinely gets affected by people who are nasty about/to him, especially if it’s just because he’s ‘Rylan’.

Personally, if he gets the gig, I wish him well.
Rylan is OK for three hours a week on a Saturday afternoon, but subjecting him to the British public 5 days a week might just tip the scales.....

Perfect way of putting it. OOO WHATS FER TEA OOO GRAVY IM SO BLOODY NORTHERN. Does my head in
Drove around the North of Scotland for a week back in November and half the time all you could get was Radio Two, and Cox followed Scott Mills. Mills still walked away with the Smashy and Nicey award for finding himself endlessly diverting and spouting inane bollocks, but her ‘Northerner’ routine pushed him all the way. I honestly listen to Mills and wonder that anyone with more than two brain cells could find anything he ever says or does interesting or humorous in any way. An absolute oxygen thief

I’ve listened to his show and the kindest thing I can say about it is that he’s of his generation. Less banal than Scott fucking Mills, but still an emptyheaded broadcasting tragedy. I actually prefer him on the TV. He’s ok on Celebrity gogglebox or as a rapid fire interviewer of celebs, cos he’s reasonably personable, but his radio programme is 3 hours of your life that you won’t get back

Give the slot to Michael Ball although he probably doesn't want to work more than one day a week, how Steve Wright kept his schedule for so long I will never know, Elaine Paige does my head in...how many times can you play "there is nothing like a dame" love, it's getting boring now
