Kevin De Bruyne - 2016/17 performances

The key with De Bruyne, and the reason why he must start every game, is that he gets assists and sometimes goals even when he's not playing well. On Sunday he was playing well, and could've had another assist with the Sterling chance after seven minutes. I would suggest that he's the best crosser of the ball in the world.

OK, said I'd leave it but feel the need to reply because your first sentence tells me how much you've been misinterpreting my posts which explains a fair bit. I'll put it into points so it's clear this time.

• Exactly correct, your quote was having a go at his "fan boys" AKA happy City fans; my exact disagreement with you is about this, there is far too much negativity on here & you putting down people who're actually being positive doesn't sit well with me - especially when you are wrong.

• Why are you wrong? Because your quote seems to suggest you think it's crazy that people had KDB as MOTM; this is where I was defending his performance by pointing out that actually he was involved in almost every single dangerous attack, getting 1 assist & could've had 3-4 if the finishing was better. My entire point is that he easily could've been MOTM, not should have been - I would hope by now you agree, yes other players could've been too, but you surely can see why I think your statement is nonsense & unnecessary.

• Untouchable players don't exist, that's tunnel vision talking rather than sense. Pretty sure there was a thread for an entire season about whether KDB was deserving of a starting 11 place? Doesn't sound like he is as untouchable as you think, who else is untouchable? Silva getting grief, Aguero getting grief, Kompany supposedly should retire, Zabaletas past it, etc. There are no untouchable players. Some get it far worse than others, but we're on the same team there, I agree that's stupid so won't delve into that.

Of all the lies you have tried to peddle about what I supposedly think, this one is the funniest and the one with the least foundation. Yet again you are making accusations about me that arent true in a petty attempt to score points, like you have throughout this exchange. You seemingly have a problem with me having a different opinion to you and so much so you have continually brought up points that have no base in anything I have said to try and make out i think things that I dont think.

You suggested that I wanted him to play badly - completely untrue, why would I want any City player to play badly?

The fact is the only people that might be put down, by the comment that you found so offensive, are those that think KDB can do no wrong, his fanboys who wont allow any criticism or see anything wrong in what he does, unless you are one of those people why would you be at all upset at what I put? You are now trying to make out this is me being negative in some way, it isnt its actually me wanting all the players to get the same treatment, sadly some posters have their distinct favourites and this leads to increased negativity towards other squad members, its a team game, I would like the whole team to be supported in the same way, sadly human nature is such this isnt realistic.

Why am I not wrong? Because it is an opinion, not an indisputable fact. I happen to be of the opinion Sunday wasnt KDB's best game, I think he has played far better before. If you have a differing opinion then thats your right, doesnt make you right or wrong though, does it?

Of course there arent any players who are immune from criticism, but again that isnt what I said. However there are posters who have untouchable players, I didnt say they were untouchable players to all posters, just to some, there is a big distinction. As I have stated above I find this leads to increased negativity towards those that arent deemed untouchable and as someone who is so keen to stamp out negativity, I would think you'd be more concerned about that, than some perceived grievance you think i have towards posters or KDB.
