Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

I note that Pellegrini's interview today says that losing KDB was a huge factor in screwing up our season but he could only say this now the season is over. He also makes the point that KDB has learn to take more care with his passing, which I am sure Pep will drill home to Kev. The good news is that Kev has the technical ability, in spades.

Played well in the friendly today, could have easily had 4-5+ assists if Benteke, Batshuayi, Mertens, Fellaini or Hazard could finish. The standard of the finishing was abysmal from Belgium, can't see them doing too great in the Euros.

We have a midfield that refuses to speed up games: Fellaini and Witsel both too slow on the ball, Hazard too selfish and frankly clueless when he's not in form.
Let's hope Carrasco and Mertens get an opportunity next time. Our defense is a disaster after so many injured. We have a great selection of individuals, no team unfortunately.

Yeah that's what it looked like. Carrasco looks a good player, was thinking in a strongest line up it'd be him De Bruyne & Hazard behind one of the strikers, probably Lukaku. If there were a couple of natural fullbacks at a similar level to the rest of the team the starting 11 would be great, but have to agree does look like a team full of individuals, not sure Wilmots is good enough to get it sorted.

I think that would be the starting eleven, with Nainggolan and Witsel in midfield.

Thought Carrasco was outstanding in the champs league final. Type of player that would excite the city fans. Great skills and works bloody hard.
