Kevin De Bruyne 2016/17

Besides the Italy game KDB has been playing great for our team so far. Yesterday he and Hazard totally dominated, while Hazard might have drawn just a bit more attention KDB was just as great and their skills were complementary to eachother too, there seems to be a growing partnership there between 2 potentially dominant players. Where Hazard adds another level to dribbling skills and maneuvering with the ball KDB is a looming danger in support especially in the transition phase, delivery from set pieces and shots from outside the box. His delivery to Alderweireld for the early 1-0 was quality and allowed us a tactical advantage where we could play a counter game which our players do well. KDB could easily have a goal crowning his performance yesterday too, he was just unlucky that the Hungarian keeper chose to be on his best when he made rather quality attempts. He made a good attempt at the goal with a free kick, ill add some link here but not sure if it will work for long.

That ball early on that Hazard, on the left, absolutely fired at him and he controlled it instantly??!?! Wow, that was ridiculous.
KDB is full of ridiculous peices of skill which even his own fans do not always notice.or appreciate.
At Wafford last season his cushioned header from Watford goal kick which cut out three defenders and sent Sergio thru on goal was outrageous. No one mentioned it.
A pass with the outside of his right foot to Haazard late in the game last night was made to lookso simple that it was ignored by commentary. ..do they even know how difficult a skill this is to carry out??...of course as soon as hazard gets the ball the watching world knows all about it as the winger who hasn't played well for over a season is now the media darling..incredible.

Maybe we're just used to seeing him being quality on the ball that everything he does is just 'natural' ;-)

Actually there was something very positive i was taking from Kev not taking the absolute spotlight but playing a fantastic game eitherhow. In Belgium we have plenty of players with star pedigree that want to show themselfs and Hazard has every reason to put himself in the spotlight on this stage. KDB has typicly a healthy lust of glory himself, but for Belgium it's important that all those ambitious players manage to function toghether rather than wanting to go so much for individual glory. I must say KDB realy was remarkably unselfish last game, did just as much important work as hazard but seemingly didn't mind for Hazard to take the spotlight more, and it was all for a good team result.

I think many people agree that Belgium have a great squad of individual players, but whether they are a good team in the way Italy were against you and Spain I am not so sure. When Belgium don't have the ball, they do not look as strong as teams like germany and Italy.

I hope you go on to win it as I want to see De Bruyne do well. I like the spirit of players like Vertonghen.
