Kevin Pietersen sacked

Probably means Giles has got the job....which is nothing short of a travesty.

Oh well, I guess we'll be scrapping it out for the number four spot for the foreseeable future with Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and West Indies whilst Australia, South Africa and India compete to be number one.

Ask an adult and they'll say Cook or Bell.

Kids eh !

nobody wants to play like Cook, so technically flawed it's amazing he's done so well.

Epic Fail........

"Cook was second youngest player to reach 5,000 Test runs, behind Sachin Tendulkar. He was the youngest to reach 7,000 runs. No Englishman has scored more than his 25 Test centuries - and don't forget 29 further half-centuries. That conversion rate is impressive - once he's in, Cook is hard to get out."

.......plenty want to play like one of the worlds best.......Class, form etc........

His technique defies that, everyone would love a test record like Cook but if they copied his technique I seriously doubt they'd get anywhere near it.

If they had his talent, they would. You don't have a record like that with 'poor technique'.

A little unothodox in areas, but ' poor' ? The facts suggest otherwise.

Cook has a good eye which gets him out of trouble with his technique which is strange the say the least but if it works for him it works. Back on topic Michael Vaughan is making a lot of sense on Twitter atm. I really would have loved him to become head England coach. He was such a brilliant captain and he can manage the egos of the players. He's certainly more qualified than Giles.

What exactly does being sacked from playing for England mean?

Have the ECB said he will never play for England again, no matter what the wishes of any future head coach/ selector, captain?

Or have they just said he isn't in the next squad?

If that's the case, hasn't every player who has ever played one game but not the next been sacked?

Seems an odd expression, I can't recall being used before in relation to someone not being picked for a team.

The ECB aren't going to pick him and are going to appoint yes men who will agree that he shouldn't be selected.

He'll lose his central contract from the ECB and essentially be freelance from now on, so in a cricketing sense ECB have terminated their contract with him.

He brings to much bullshit though, always kicking off and he is always in the middle of it.

I cba with people like that, do your job and stfu.

A great player but not a team player.

unfortunately, some people work better amongst chaos
Well; fuck knows there was enough chaos down under this winter, and he did the square root of fuck all (along with the rest of those miscreants).
