You may also remember, on a similar note, that before its take over by Lloyds, The Trustee Savings Bank changed its name simply to The TSB.

Although I have no proof, I believe they were forced to do this by the government because they were cunts, who could not be trusted with your savings.

It does matter to me if an animals suffers before it is killed. I have no problem killing any animal for food. It is a part of nature, and anybody who refuses meat is denying the natural way of things. But I cannot see any excuse for unnecessary suffering. I stopped course fishing (fish are returned alive) because I couldn't see the point of distressing a fish just for pleasure. I started sea fishing instead. Now most of the fish I catch are caught and killed for food.

The problem occurs when people put human standards of living towards what animals need. It would be safe to say a battery hen doesn't have as good a quality of life as a free range hen. It doesn't mean it has a poor quality of life. Most hens seem perfectly happy to sit in one place all day as long there is food available.

I see people sitting behind desks for hours on end, and pity their life. Yet they sit there seeing me outside getting piss wet through and pity me.

Organisations like PETA don't always help a situation. They overreact and exaggerate things to get their message across. They lose credibility and come across as nutters. Educate by all means, but don't preach...

Its lack of empathy mate. I have heard some stories about the Manchester Abattoir when it was open. I know they had inspectors on site but they were there to deter it so its shows you that some evil bastrds work in these places.
