Khaldoon al Mubarak - the new Peter Swales?

Prestwich blue is obviously being facetious about the Swales comment. The point that you're all missing is that this knee-jerk reaction is totally consistent with the maniac decisions that Swales made, with Book and Machin among others. It's a disgrace.

And if Khaldoon is reading this thread, I hope he knows what a disgrace ADUG's conduct has been. It is not befitting of what we expect from the board of directors, and has damaged the reputation of this club ireppairably.

Just as disgusting is THE MENTALITY OF PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM WHO HAD IT IN FOR HUGHES FROM DAY ONE. You're not Manchester City fans in my opinion.

"Princess Diana" syndrome if ever I saw it.Gerry Marsden would be proud of that effort.
you'll have to explain that

You people have had it in for him from day one, because he's Welsh, and because he was a Rag. All you do is confirm to the wider football public that we're still fucking small-time.

He was very much up to the job. He's not a bottler, unlike our last five managers and he was taking us in the right direction, step-by-step. More importantly he was a decent fucking guy.

I'm rumbled. I didn't want Hughes out because I didn't rate him as a manager it was because he was Welsh. I admit it. Odd really because I live with a Swansea girl. I should know better really.

How the hell did a comparison between our new owner and Swales get to 10 pages?

It's two diffferent worlds and two men more disparate you could not find I think.

Agreed, but having this sort of topic on the board at all is just embarrasing no matter how serious or not the OP was. Its just possible that Khaldoon may not see it for what it is. Hopefully nobody has shown him a picture of Swales, or what he did for the club, because anyone even suggesting there may be a comparison is crass beyond belief.

Because it was a similarly lunatic decision, delivered with the same awful timing, to those of Swales.

The whole planet melted down in utter hysteria when she met her unfortunate and sad demise. All perspective and common sense was lost for about a month.

I sense the same hysterical over the top self-harming on here berating the owners, the fans, basically everyone connected with us as if Hughes was some kind of persecuted messiah rather than what he was'is-a very well paid football manager.

I doin't particularly agree with the way it's been done, but done it has been.I have absolutely no problem with the man who saved our club from bankruptcy and put over £250 million of his own money in giving a man- who was not his own appointment-15 months to do things his way-then deciding to fire him off.I'll certainly not berate him or call him and his staff a "disgrace."

That's life.

We need to move on-not wallow in melancholy.

I'm certainly not wallowing, I just think it's a pisstake. And it's certainly worrying to see the club so riven with faction. I can see Hughes' sacking coming back to bite us in the arse.
