Khaldoon al Mubarak - the new Peter Swales?

Well done Khaldoon, the right decison taken at the right time. Oh and thanks for supporting our former Manager, who you didn't appoint, with £200 million!

RIP Peter Swales.

lol fair point, touche'

I hate to say I told you so, but I did urge you all a few weeks ago to dispense with this myth that we are being run by patient men of honour who possess bucketloads of integrity. The businessmen in charge of City are no different to the businessmen in charge of any other company in the world; they are ruthless to the extreme in meeting their aims. A rudimentary understanding of the UAE's business environment would tell you that honour and integrity are in very short supply in this country.

We now need to all get behind the owners and the new manager or this 'project' is in danger of spectacularly blowing up in our faces.

1. "Starting to get it right"??? We were/are going backwards and if you have not seen that it worries me;
What fucking planet do you live on?

2008/09 P17 W5 D3 L9 F30 A25 Pts 18 Posn 17th
2009/10 P17 W7 D8 L2 F33 A27 Pts 29 Posn 6th

In the interests of fairness PB, who was it again that put us in 17th?

some people make me laugh saying the chairman is the new peter swailes come on give the chairman some slack hughes wasnt doing wat the owners and chairman has agreed after wat they have pumped into the club i think they should be looking to beat the likes of bolton,burnley fulham ect and hughes failed i take it they looked at the fixtures and said they wanted cert. amount and he has failed has i think city should of had at least 10more pts from the games we have played taking into account the sides we played

You're right. I remember my post about how integrity, honesty, etc etc, were really important in the arab world, and you basically said 'bullshit' (in a more polite way of course). I think I'll listen to you a bit more in the future.

Swales has risen fromn the grave and his soul now inhabits a man from Abu Dhabi. But surely not even Swales - the man who sacked Mel Machin claiming he had "no repartee with the fans" - would sack a man who took us to 6th place and a cup semi-final for the first time in 28 years?

Truly idiotic comment.

Dubaiblue - what do you mean by this? Do you think it's poss they'd walk away if they perceive a lack of support from the fans and everyone moaning at every turn we make.
This is all I'm arsed about really, as long as they stay I don't care about managers etc - I won't be moaning about any decisions they choose to make

Cant be arsed reading the whole thread but I think our owners have nothing to prove to anyone.

They invested 18 months and over £200m in a man they didn't employ and all they got in return was ineptness. It wasn't so much as Hughes results recently, which have been shite, but more about the fact that never in a million years was Hughes ever gonna get us where we need to be for this kind of outlay.
