Khaldoon interview

Some big and bold words regarding out transfer business this summer. Really hope they don't come back to bite him on the arse because this is a very important summer in our progression. We have the stability that we didn't have back at the end of the 11/12 season and as he says our transfer planning is done and you'd assume negotiations under way to bring those players. The club need to ensure that these signings do in fact deal with the weaknesses in the squad adequately.

I'm not going to labour the point about the FFP sanctions with regards our CL squad, but if the intention is to sign no English players this summer, then I really hope there's at least one or two players from the academy teams who we don't know about how will be given a big chance in the first team next season.

Wonder if Part 2 was embargoed due to the Nissan announcement? Also is Nissan the mysterious 3rd party in the IP sale? Will all be revealed later today?

*gets popcorn*

Not so sure - I know that David Sullivan chats to West Ham fans on Twitter all through the season. Same game, different racquet.

Fair comment. Good to know. Thanks for sharing.

Wonder if other top teams would like to interview/extend transparency/accountability.

They do, it's called UEFA.

The transfer note was the interesting bit, don't see why it's in 2 parts but oh well, hopefully they'll talk about the wider plans for the CFG in the 2nd part.

This part was 20 minutes long, I'm happy to sit and watch that. if it had been 40 minutes there would have been a few, probably myself included, who would have been put off by such a lengthy piece. Now it's broken into 2 20 minute parts, released at separate times, it's far more palatable.

Does anybody else find him scarily calm and determined? He's clearly not a man who suffers fools gladly. This is a man who plans for the long term, with quiet determination, as he says, "brick by brick". Don't know if I'd like to have him as my boss, I'd probably be out on my arse in double quick time.
Hope he never looks in on BM, sure he wouldn't waste his time… ;-)

Yes. There's an undercurrent of ruthlessness which good business people need. But it's offset by an emotional intelligence and understanding of human nature.

Having both if those is perfect for leadership. Interestingly, he hints at the end of other exits amongst the staff.

He mentions executives - maybe he meant in the past with Cary Cook or maybe he means some heads are gonna roll re FFP

Excellent interview. Whats not to like about Khaldoon ?
Cool, good looking, rich, eloquent and chairman of mcfc. Feeling a bit of man love.

I see the video ends with a shot of Ashley Cole. Sending us a message ?

I thought he came across a little edgy. Seemed that he had other things on his mind.

My thoughts exactly. Reminded me of ....

Gus Fring from Breaking Bad

I would note, that 'dramatic' moment where he recalls Mansour ringing him after the Sunderland game was pure Americanisation
