I think just because he played for us fans want him to praise us all the time, but lets be honest here we didn't rip up trees last night, and i don't think we played as well as the score suggest we did, my only problem with having a commentator and analyst, is that they talk about everything under the sun be not the game itself.
Didn't rip up trees? Haha do me a fucking favour.

No we didn't, yes we beat a very good team and on their own ground, but if we played like that week in week out in our own league, we wouldn't make the top four, score was what we wanted performance was mediocre, we have played much better than we did last night, no we didn't rip up trees but we did win, in a comp like this with all the top teams, we will have to play much better if we are going to win it, last nights performance just won't cut it against the likes of Madrid, PSG, Dortmund, Barcelona, or Bayern for that matter in a knockout game, we can all jump about singing how well we won the game, all i am saying is to win it we will have to play far better than we did last night.

Simple fact is that Sky have trotted out the stat about Norwich winning in Munich in the 90's ad infinitum, imagine if the Rags had won there it would be an absolutely fantastic achievement yet all we got was damning with faint praise. Quinn doesn't seem to praise us at all, maybe he is compensating, if so its working, I don't get the same tone when he does a Sunderland game.

You won't he is a Sunderland fan, and like anyone of us if we were to watch a team play who we had played for, our tone would not be the same as if we were commentating on the team we supported as a boy.

He was still criticising the defence for its "lack of application" after we went 3-2 up. We were playing the Champions of Europe and one of the best teams ever and both of their goals were offside something which, predictably, was barely even mentioned.

Last season he openly stated on Sky Sports that he hoped Wigan beat us in the cup final! I doubt that he will ever be removed from the hall of fame. The shitstorm it would create would simply not be worth it.

Last night's performance was far from mediocre. You don't beat team like Bayern being mediocre. We weren't the fast sharp attacking unit
that we see at home in the Premier, but this was a second string side, that worked hard, defended from the front and played some decent stuff
and took our chances well. Your post does all that fucking hard work a MASSIVE injustice.

So you're saying then that he has no impartiallity? Am puzzled by your posts, we have just beaten a side commonly acknowledged to be the best on the planet, on their own patch, with a second string team against their best 11, coming back from 2 goals down and you describe it as mediocre. Astonishing.

Not the result just the performance, we have played better this season, the win was not to be sniffed at, and over the 90+ minutes we were the better team, but we can do better, the performance on the night was mediocre but Bayern were worse.

He really does seem to have a problem with us doing well this year
He may feel differently but has sold out following the script he has been given by sky

What is the script? What does it say? If one could obtain a copy, would it be newsworthy enough to go to the papers with to show how much bias is going on?
What has Quinn and/or Tyler got to gain by belittling us?

Read the match day thread. When we were shit in the first 12 minutes and looking like being spanked, that thread was ten times as bad as anything the commentator's said. They had to say how poor we were doing because, well, we were. There was a break on at the end of the first half where Tyler got excited to the point he did that thing where his voice growls, maybe not to Aguerooooo levels, (yes, Tyler loved that moment for us), but he still got excited. When Milner scored they got the buzz again. Yes there are little comments here and there but if you listened to a full 90 minutes of a Southampton/West Brom game, for example, i'm sure you would hear something their fans might class the same. The feeling on here during a game done by these two is that people are actually wanting them to make such comments to the point where they will cling to anything, the tiniest thing there and make a huge deal out of it when more often than not there is literally nothing in what they have said. What happens if someone goes against the sheep and says something? They get hammered by those sheep for daring to speak out.

Quinn and Tyler are just commentators. Nothing more, nothing less and there is no reason why they would have some kind of beef with us to the point people on here cry into their pints about it.

The 2 of them together show more excitement and pleasure when whoever we are playing get chances or goals than when we do
Tyler called us wannabe's last night and sneered when we went behind.I have no problem with them stating facts of the game,it is the way they say it as if they are happy about it
If the rags had done what we did last night they would have been beside themselves
contrast when ITV do the europa league, they are behind the english teams completely

At least you replied like a grown up, nice one.
Why do you think they are doing it then? I mean this is the same two-some who were lauding our attacking play the last time they commentated on us. This is the two who are legends world-wide for the way they brought in the Aguero goal. Thing is though if I bring that up people just say they 'had to do that', when the actual fact was the pair of them jizzed their pants at what was going on, just like they would have done if it was any other team in that position, given what was at stake. The wannabe's thing, who cares? Really? Do we not want to be like the champions of Europe? Maybe 'pretenders' would have been better? We are playing the champions of Europe in their back yard and are striving to become what they are. Why get so het up over a comment like that? It's daft more than anything, but certainly not as anti-city as some say it is, almost suicidal like.

I dont know why they take a negative tone when we play in europe but i feel they do
Rag matches Tyler is positive and supportive to them no matter how its going.Since the takeover pundits are very keen to put us down and highlight negatives, from how much the team costs to how many english players we have,Now if they did that to every team it wouldn't be an issue but they dont and its a constant bashing, look at the press today and constant negative re-runs of the mistake on sky
I sense an agree to disagree coming on :)
