If you compare like with like a CL night at Anfield and one at City the difference in atmosphere is immense. Anfield is so much better. I used to go to Maine Rd for yrs and the atmosphere at a league match was better then a CL match at the Etihad.

That's because they have CL #istory. And 1000's of Norwegian's who will take up any spare seats.

We on the other hand hate UEFA, hate the CL, and let's be honest, have no CL #istory.

A Liverpool CL and EL night normally goes like this.

"Walk on"..... before the start of the game.

During the game bursts of "Liverpoo"l, "Liverpool." And "The Fields Of Athenry."

Then quiet, quiet, quiet.(Where's your famous atmosphere?)

Liverpool score!

"Liverpool", "Liverpool." Etc, etc.

Let me put this question to you.

What would the Etihad have been like last Thursday if we had beaten United 2-0 in the 1st leg of the EL quarter final?
