You'd have think that someone at the club would have worked out by now that if you pass backwards from an attacking situation or sideways repeatedly after winning the ball in the midfield , the opposition have time to organize themselves. When you have no width you can't break these teams down.

We do not attack in numbers..maybe understandable tonight against a counter attacking team like Kiyv but I must admit that I find it frustrating to watch at times when we win good ball and piss about with it around the half way line...This is why we have attack minded fullbacks and this is where they should make an impact...once we win possession they should be bombing forward and wether they recieve the ball or not they will stretch defences and create space for the likes of Silva, Dzecko and Tevez to exploit.

Oh they will, I've disagreed with Didsbury often, but for me tonight was close to a shambles on and off the pitch, but the off it bit, is for me the most damning thing I've seen, an utter joke at half time, whoever is to blame.

I have been dearly hoping I would be proved wrong, but as time goes on I have the sinking feeling that my first instincts were correct.

This awfully slow and ponderous Italian football we play may work for Catania against Palermo but it doesn't work over here and our players are just not suited to it.

If we persist with Mancini, we will not only blow our chances on all fronts this season, but next season too.

We need a fresh approach. The players do not look happy with what they are being asked to do and I don't blame them.

Too often we only speed up our play when we have got ourselves into a pickle. By then the opposition have retreated into their shells and stick ten men behind the ball. Then, with no penetration or hint of the defensive line of three in midfield wanting to flood forward, we hit a brick wall, our passing game goes to pot and we are made to look foolish.

If we want to ponce about fine, but lets get the goals in first then try the possession thing. Not the other way round!

Whoever it was who last night compared us with AC Milan was pretty much spot on. Our playing styles are so similar. Lots of possession, but nothing happens. We have no pace, and desperately need it. The Italian mentality is seeping through more and more.

he will be gone in the summer trophy or not..
we can beat them three nil at home no problem. we have the players that are more than capable.
we wont though of course and we all know why. no motivation, no passion, no desire, not playing for each other, the list is endless.
we need a proper leader of men, not a fuckin babysitter.

Not difficult to spot the flaws is it dave.
The most worrying thing is I expect the players are all under exact instruction to play this way. No doubt under different orders the results would improve.
These are not bad players but collectively using these tactics it doesn,t fullfil the true potential this side has.
Too slow, no pace or width available and questionable tactics is going to see us fail to reach our preset targets. He must dump the slow stuff and take a chance and go for it for the rest of the season.

Mancini is a shit manager, just as Hughes was and just as Sven was. At least Pearce had inexperience and no money. Las decent manager was KK. God only knows who we'll hire next. Most likely he'll be shit too. All we ask for is for 11 players to operate as a cohesive unit. If shouldn't be very much to ask. If I was involved in the club I'd start grooming some decent junior managers and have one take over in 5 years time. The merry go round is ridiculous and one is worse than the other. It's a joke.

And in the midst of all this farce are the itk jokers proclaiming the next golden goose.

Well pissed off with all but very few of the players.
