We have been here before with you slagging Gio off, and once again it seems that the majority disagree with you. Maybe its time to admit youre wrong......

Lol so a majority of mongs on this forum decide what's fact do they? I don't like slagging Kinky off, but people on here look at him through blue tinted glasses and make him out to be something that he wasn't

Robinho is a far superior footballer to Kinky ever was there is absolutely no doubt about it. I'm pretty sure Robbie won't be going to places like Derby on loan in the next few years, the best is yet to come from that guy

The 1st season Kinky was with us I will stick my neck out and say he was better than Robinho up to now this season. Dont get me wrong, I think Robinho is an amazing player and by far better than anything we have, but no one has ever compared to Gio's first season. His career went downhill from that point and no one can argue that Robinho will achieve more, but Kinky was the most gifted player I think I will ever see. You make out that you are some kind of football expert dismissing everyone as mongs on a forum, I would bet I have forgotton more about football than you will ever know.....

nice post mate! i thought i was the only one who thought Geo was the most gifted player i have ever seen. Guess you had to see it to believe it.....and perhaps some posters on this topic did not witness the sheer brilliance of geo, when watching him week in week out! i miss those days....anyone else?

Loved Kinky and felt it went two ways , there was always a change in the atmosphere
as soon as he got the ball , he may have been a big fish in a small pond but I have never
enjoyed watching a player as much as him .
I admit he didn't turn it on for every game , but who does that remind you of ? .
How many times could we see a run or chance from the stand 2 seconds after he had
already passed the ball, and 5 seconds before anybody in a blue shirt could .
He showed loyalty to us when things went bad , do you think Robbie will ? .

'And all the runs that Kinky makes are winding'

We got him from nowhere,no-one had heard of him before, and he became a legend at City,Kinky will always be missed by the fans who remember him, lets hope Robbie can be as popular.

Like to see Robinho do this!
Yes he had his flaws, but what a player

Yea, I'm sure Robbie wouldn't be able to beat a few of the mighty Southend players... Lol at some of the oppositon on that vid. Robbie scored a great goal against the best keeper and defenders in the world last week

you sound a little biased to both parties on this. you see Geo as not the player we all did, and seem to see alot more form Robbie than most fans do.

yes Robbie is our leading goal scorer. we cant take that way from him and i do think that in time he will be amazing for us.

i think thought that you are one of the fans that let the price and the club he came from affect your judgment on how good a player is.....look at it objectively and Robbie has been pretty poor recently! sides have figured him out now....he cant even run past a player for gods sake.....geo waltz pat players like they were not even there!

Geo could waltz rpast players like they weren't there - not top class players and not very often though. I think that you are one of the fans that are looking back and only remembering the great things kinky did and forgetting all the times he went missing.

Robbie is on a bad bit of form but he will come good and he's already achieved far more than Kinky ever did

So influential (sic) was Kinkladze, that Royle had to drop him for the relegation run-in, because talented as he was, he couldn't work out, by his own admission, how to get the best out of him for the team

loved watching the special moments, but they were all to few. The fact that he flopped at Ajax, and that no other team (other than Derby) were prepared to take him on, tells you all you need to know about his standing in the game

I can see some comparison. But for skill and flare, it has to be robbie everyday for me.

100 percent incorrect. if it's about skill and flare, there's no comparison. the only player i've seen with as much ability to run and dribble with the ball at pace, is maradona. obviously gio didn't deliver on anything like the basis that the argentinian did but, he had that same gift of making the art of beating a player look easy.

i can also say that kinkladze was never shit in any game. sure, he had many a game where he did very little but he never lost possession easily, like robinho does frequently. having said that, i am not slagging him off.

most of his best games in div1 and lakey is best city player in the last 50 years

In a friendly!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pity he couldnt do it against those football super powers away from home
you know emmmmmmmmmmm WIGAN,BOLTON,BORO,STOKE,PORTSMOUTH,HULL

It is, but he'll adapt to play better away in the prem and if he doesn't he will still give us more than Kinky ever did

And lol at the teams you mentioned there - Robbie scored a hat trick at home to Stoke and ran rings round Hull and pompey, scoring 6 goals in total in those three games which is about a quarter of the goals Kinky got in his whole City career!!!
