Kinkladze > Robbie ?

he did say 'away from home' and robinho was shocking last week at portsmouth or, had you forgotten who were playing?

I saw what he said, or do just Kinky's home performances count and Robbie's don't?

I think they both were/are extremely talented players. Kinkladze had the ability to run at players with pace and keep the ball glued to his feet. I watch clips of him and the hairs stand up on the back of my neck - that has yet to happen with Robbie. So as things stand, for me, Kinky every day. However in my opinion there is still a lot more to come from Robbie and my opinion could well change in the future. For Robbie to blossom, I think he needs better quality players around him - I think he is one of those that will shine in a quality attacking side (like Messi is doing at the moment with Barcelona).

So for me...the jury is still well and truly out.

If your gonna be consided World Class he should be able to do it home & away, so far this season his been arguably been our worst player away from home.

I think that's a bit much although there's no doubt he's got to improve away from home. To me world class is proving that you can do it against the very best and Robinho is already on his way to proving that whereas Kinky was never anywhere near

Kinky was unlucky when he went to Ajax, Jari Litmanen was supposed to go to Barcelona but the deal fell through leaving Kinky playing out of position on the left wing, then the manager who signed him got sacked and he never saw eye to eye with the new boss and hardly ever
played for them again.

Robinho looks class for Brazil because he's surrounded by world class players but he doesnt look as good in a City shirt at the moment. Kinky never had the chance to play in a world class team so we'll never know just how good he could have been.

Good points. Plus you've got to think that when Kinky played for Georgia, he still stood out.

Robbie.

He has played at a higher level than Kinky ever did, and that is because he is a better player. And Kinky was already past his prime when he left City.

Does that mean Robinho's past his!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

me too.....there was real anticipation when Gio had the ball!

think the only time i felt that about Robbie was on his debut at CMOS.....since then i feel i have been a little bit let down. he is not everything that some people make out.

i wonder how many of the posters on here actually watched Kinky week in week out?

i remeber whenever Gio came to take a corner or a throw, everyone stand up and bow up and down to him....not seen that to Robbie yet.

by the way Elano played outstanidng in the Italy friendly......dont think that game can be used to assess the level of quality of a player.

i think Gio impacted on games so much more than Robbie
