Kit tailored by Umbro, sponsored by Etihad, which means "Union" or "Federation" and is often used as shorthand for the UAE themselves. Etihad is a growing Middle Eastern airline based in Dubai, flying predominantly widebody Boeing 777 and Airbus A340 aircraft to the largest cities across the world.

Home Kit: Sky Blue, no collar and very minor ornamentation. Traditional MCFC crest high on left breast and Umbro diamond on right breast.

Away Kit: White with red and black pointed diagonal stripes from left shoulder to right hip, with black shots and socks, which are also worn with Third Kit.

Third Kit: Black shirt with very minor ornamentation, and same black shorts and socks as Away (Second) Kit.

Kit will not be unveiled until just before Pre-Season friendlies begin, due to contractual commitments with LCS and Thomas Cook.

Does this mean the old round badge will be on the new home kit?

Mate, I did an Adidas home and away well over a year ago now when rumours were circulating and that's still doing the rounds - there was a link on Newsnow to it just a few weeks back!

Haha fair play - I emailed the dodgy Asian website selling fake kits with my design (the black Gorton kit), told him it was official, just to see if he could knock out a few fake lmao....he said he only sells what he gets from the factory, bastard!

I loved that black kit that you did Cal. I emailed Toffs and was quoted £55 to knock up a long-sleeved black kit with Maltese Cross. Still might take them up on their offer! :)

I spoke to Gary James (ex official MCFC historian), and he said they have one in the museum, that was made by Toffs for £50...I wonder if they could knock the price down if there was a bulk order...?

I wanted to get replicas sold in the shop at the time but City had a deal with Score Draw and even though Toffs were keen they were not City's preferred supplier. It might be worth contacting Score Draw as well as Toffs. Incidentally, it's difficult to show on standard photos, but the neckline Toffs created was different to a typical round 'jumper' neckline. Toffs did some research for me on the type of neckline that would have been used and also we studied the original photo hard to ensure we got it right. It's more like two straight lines for front and back (like a button opening) than a round neck.
