Kloppy

I'm not a 'Mancini out' merchant, but IF he goes, the only replacement for me who ticks all the club's boxes is Jurgen Klopp, coach of Dortmund; young, successful, bright, focused on youth etc.

But I hope Bobby ain't going anywhere......

we can call him Mr Floppy when we dont win....

I'm sure you've read Hunter's book about Barcelona - so you know how Txiki operates. Our dressing room currently resembles pre Guardiola Barca than post Guardiola Barca. For my money irrespective of who could be better, a guy like Txiki is going to take the view whatever happens the first and most important thing to do is get rid of the coach.

You like and rate Mancini and I respect that ... but it's my opinion that Mancini will be sacked this summer because of his corrosive effect not just in the dressing room but around the club in general.

I rate Mancini but am not against him going if someone who can guarantee us progress can replace him. If Mourinho wanted the job I'd have no worries about Mancini going. Likewise Klopp.

I just see Laudrup as a huge risk, the only thing he has over Mancini is he's a nicer guy. Mancini has won more and shown he has the steely mentality needed for a high pressure title race - something Laudrup hasn't been in.

Maybe Laudrup will turn out to be a top manager but I fear people are overrating him because he was a great footballer and because he has Swansea playing lovely football like a La Liga side. But I watch La Liga every week and see loads of nice football, but don't hear people suggesting Unai Emery for example - who has never had a win rate under 42% at any of his 5 clubs.

I mean, what makes Laudrup better than Rodgers? Rodgers had a better win % at Swansea, would we want Rodgers?

To be fair, we looked at getting Rodgers but went with Platt as assistant, shame as I think he would've offered us a lot with his modern football methods

If your stuck between Laudrup or Klopp, why not go for Louis van Gaal? Plus side is he wouldn't take no shit from the press.....yeah!!

I'd prefer Bobby to be given another chance, but I feel deep down that he's sadly a gonner!

Personally I'm not at all convinced that Txiki will be overly concerned with someone's previous win % if he believes they are the right person for the job - plus you have to remember he was prepared to give Laudrup the Barca job. To me that shows how highly he rates him, and now with Laudrup being in the league and doing well with Swansea it's almost a no brainer if we're looking at potential managers for this summer outside of the obvious Mou/Klopp.

Klopp may well grow bored and unmotivated if his young talent is constantly poached by Europe's elite.
Sign up Gotze and Hummels and kill two birds with one stone.

Wouldn't want a dinosaur personally, a young manager with fresh ideas would be nice, a manager who will make HIS name here if it was Laudrup, or add to the name he's already got if it's Mourinho.

We don't necessarily need a manager with a reputation like Pep, Klopp or Mourinho. Someone like Laudrup or Pellegrini would be better options IMO. We need a manager who sees City as a project and not just a club with loads of money.

Someone like Laudrup would look for bargains in the transfer window and play a system at City where as Mancini wants to buy the best players and blames failure on not signing the best players.

Good post. laudrup has impressed me with the way his team plays and how he conducts himself. I'm getting fed up of hearing about how Mancini didn't get the players he wanted. The players we were after would have been choices that every manager in the premier league would have wanted. This summer i would choose Bale, Falcao,Wilshire and Hummels. We won't get them though, so we have to choose a better quality player that is under the radar than we did this summer.
