The blade has to be less than 3 inches if it’s a pocket knife
It means it's exempt and you don't need to have a lawful excuse. But you can carry a longer knife as long as it isn't one of the banned types e.g flick or butterfly if you have a lawful excuse.

We only sell knives that you are permitted to own in the United Kingdom. So purchasing any of the knives on our website is allowed. Whether you are allowed to carry the knife in public is a different story.
